Yeah, you cant change the ram, and can't upgrade the CPU at all. That's one of the worst type of PC you can find on the market. Lenovo is just a bunch of scammers in my opinion, 500$ for a garbage laptop, like, dude. The screen sucks, the keyboard sucks, i'm using a god damn USB keyboard from HP. Everything is, hands down, the absolute worst thing you would want to have, shitty CPU, you can't even put 8GB of ram... ... really

Thanks ✌ for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P Regarding your situation: i feel you my friend, i get a lot of clients coming to the store with this laptops and they looks on their faces when they realize that they have an tablet with big fordable screen, its sad but the lenovo is not the only brand that is doing this HP asus and others are as guilty as the 1st one to come up with the idea of tricking ppl to buy this as an "LAPTOP" its all marketing to sell and resell, its like when you buy phone they give you options 16gb or 32gb 128gb, they want to pull that , for them its not beneficial to have consumers upgrading the equipment unless they pay the extra to get the premium lineup :/

@Imperator of Wingnuts 8 months later, still on this laptop. Welp, the mouse died. Soo, that's a thing. I'm using it as a "desktop", to watch RU-vid, bitchute, medias in general lol I have an another 2nd handed PC, 8GB DDR4, and Intel I3 6th gen in it. It's soo, sooooo much better it's uncomparable. And i can play some dolphin emulators on it. And drawing doesn't lag even with the settings maxed out. Soo that's a thing.

I think I made a comment on this same video a few years ago. The first laptop I ever had was a 15.6 inch version of this model, same celeron processor with cd drive and no fan, that I got when I started highschool (costed $200 at the time). It sucked at basically everything I did on it to the point where running windows 10 seemed like too much for it. I got fed up with it and changed to a different laptop the following year. Through highschool, I fell in love with computers and started fooling around with it, installing Linux and other stuff, but it was still too slow. Recently, my current laptop was running out of space and I was looking for a cheap solution to it, without buying another external hard drive. One day I was resetting my router and saw a usb on the back of it, so I researched about it, not knowing what it was at the time. Eventually, I learned about network attached storages and tried to set up my router as one, but it didn't work. Some weeks later I found out about TrueNAS (an openbsd based operating system for servers) and set it up with this same laptop and an old hard drive I had lying around, which really helped my storage issue. The other day I switched out the cd drive with a hard drive caddy (ordered it from ebay) and expanded its overall storage using another hard drive, a usb and an SD card, since it had the available ports. Since openbsd doesn't take much power to run, the laptop handles it well without overheating like it did with windows. As a main, everyday laptop, it sucks. However, as my home server, it's great for storing files and stuff. On top of that, it doesn't draw a lot of power with its original charger and is still the size of a laptop. I may have belittled it and all but now it gives me quite a story to tell... good thing I never ended up selling it.

thank you for the feedback my friend and idea for those that are fed-up with the laptop, but if you doing nas storage and not using an NAS hdd be careful, and the normal hdd are not meant to be running 24h, that's why the NAS hdd exist. also look into raid options, so if one hdd fail you don't loose all your data.

In the model with AMD A8 processor you can change the DDR3 RAM with a faster 8GB module. Most of the Intel models have DDR4. With my Ideapad 110 with the AMD A8 7410 I never had any heat problems. It is an 17" model.

the screen has no screw , remove the bezel of the lcd using a opening tool and it will pop out then there are only 4 screws that hold the lcd one on every corner you cant miss, and then remove the flex and done.

Hey man thanks for video I got mine last year and last week it stopped turning on what I mean is the light comes on but the screen is just dark. What could be the problem ?

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: the issue could be because of bad flex cable of the LCD or the CPU over heating, can cause the solder-balls of the CPU to crack :( you will need a tech guy to re-flow the CPU and check the flex cable.

For those of you that own an Ideapad 110 it might not be all bad, I just tore down a Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ISK and it did have a fan, a small heat sync and a heat transfer tube. So either they made some modifications to that model, or maybe they realized that heat dissipation was clearly a problem in this line. If yours is the version with the fan the aluminum fins should be visible toward the back-left side of the laptop, About 1/2 inch in front of the power jack, You also should hear the fan running when it is under a load. Additionally there was another screw that I could not find, It was as if it was behind the R key on the keyboard, but I could not figure out how to remove the keyboard separate from the case, ultimately I unintentionally broke the plastic portion that held to the case so I still don't know exactly where that screw is located.

I also have the same one. It's not bad and it can be upgraded up to 8 GB. I was thinking the same when I searched this laptop because mine did clearly have a heat sink with a colling system.

I have same with N3060, 1.60 MHz, ram- 2GB (ddr3,1600MHz), can I replace Hdd with ssd ? and will it provide better performance? i only use internet, ms office and other small tasks , but with Hdd it provide very very poor performance, it take to much time to bootup, and very small tasks, like open settings, control panel, file manager etc. please suggest Sdd upgrade will work or not ??

Good question, I'm going to do same, replace the hdd to a ssd, at least it might be usable for basic tasks like you say, the celron cpu also is weak but I agree with you the 1st bottleneck is the hhd the rest of the hardware isn't easy upgraded.

This is probably very late. I have a 110, a higher end model (6th gen i3 and a Radeon R5 M430). I saw comments regarding that there is not even 1 slot of RAM for upgrade. Is it true to all 110 model? Or is it available for the higher model because I saw someone disassemble a 110 (not with a celeron) and have 1 free RAM slot alongside the soldered one.

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: if you don;t have the celeron version and you have the 6th gen i3, then yours does have the extra ram dim available. you most probably is the 10-15ISK they do come with 4GB soldered and one extra dim available , just follow the video its simple to remove the cover, and you will see the ram dim available we have upgraded few in past. also don't listen to the manual because it says "Max Supported Size 8GB", and that's far from truth, you can install an 8gb ram dim and it will work fine and it will be 8gb+onboard ram. amzn.to/3Ar1LNb make sure you dont get any ram over 2400MHz place a 8gb in there and you will enjoy it :P if you got any questions feel free to ask me

There is no graphic card or graphic chip, it has a built in CPU graphic and that is soldered on board and its nor up-gradable. 2. the ram is also not removable or up-gradable. what you have here is a simple TABLET with a big screen and a keyboard.

wow I struggled with this laptop for 4 years and now it's slowly giving up on me.... when i try to use it now it turns off on its own at random moments (not shutting down btw, just plain black) and it makes it pretty unusable... but I've never once repasted thermal paste or done dust cleaning (is that even possible here??). is there hope for me to still use it and even just retrieve my files? 😔

hi, your files are intact dont worry you can use a usb to sata adapter to connect your hdd to another pc to get your files back. amzn.to/3jpAcur and this models there is no point on repasting, they dont have fan nor proper heatsink, unless you have a slightly different model then your GPU may have issue.

I've had the 110-15ACL model for about two years now, it got me through a lot but it is indeed garbage. I got to play things such as Cube world which is mainly because it's well optimized, but anything else will probably crash it if you get to have 350$ just buy a MacBook and don't waste your money, and if you did buy this computer just install Linux to make it at least usable.

most of the 110 are the same internally, some new 110 do come with a better cpu and gpu, what you need to do to is opening them is the same, remove the bottom cover and you will be able to see you mobo , i believe yours have an better cpu/gpu

Buddy, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 110 Model 15 ISK. This one is a 2nd hand one and has a heat sink, a fan cooling system, 4 GB RAM embedded into it and an extra slot that has a capacity of 4 GB RAM(DDR 4), 500 GB HDD(2.5 SATA Drive), 15' inch screen and Intel HD Graphics 520 Family(integrated GPU). Now if you wanna check your model, you should flip the laptop and on the bottom case should be a sticker that should detail your model. Another clue will be a couple of metal bars on the left side of your laptop near the ethernet port. Also, under heavy load, you should be able to hear the fan rumbling. In your case, it seems you have an entirely different laptop\model(check if your laptop is an IdeaPad), or I have not heard of this model variant. The laptop should come with 4 GB DDR4 RAM(embedded), with Intel HD Graphics 520 rather than an AMD A6 as it is clear that all 110 variants have Intel Chips(as far as my knowledge extent). Now here are some questions:- i. Is this a 2nd hand Laptop? ii. Has this laptop ever been upgraded? iii. Can you kindly make sure your RAM is DDR2? Finally, answers to your question( if your laptop is the same one as mentioned)! There is no extra slot for an SSD Hard Drive. Also, if your RAM is found to be a DDR2 RAM, it is less likely that you can modify your RAM. P.S:- Your specs is kind of throwing me here and there. Anyways, let me know if you can confirm any of the above.

Should I invest in a gaming pc or upgrade the RAM? It's a 110-15ISK. Right now with the 4gb RAM it gets very hot and without any apps open, 55-65% of the RAM is used just on windows.

it will but you have to remove the WiFi board, and use a USB WiFi. but dont expect to have a good results because the cpu heat sink is a crap. but yes you can use a pci express for external gpu, but it will be still very bad at gaming because of cpu heat sink.

What if you use a external cooling like these mini table that you put under your notebook for a external source of cooling. I have the same i got it for a resonable price so i dont complain too much. Thanks fot the vid man

if you use a based (under laptop) fan cooler, it will help out a bit but not that much, because of the air flow. if you have this laptop i will only recommend you to use excursively for office use only and netflix and small operation apps. and turn it off every 2h or so for about 5min no more. thank you for the comments

Hmm thats strange.. This laptop has lasted me a good four years so far. Right from when i was 13 to 17... I have the ideapad-110 14isk i believe. Had to upgrade the ram to 8 gigs. Its obviously not a gaming laptop but it was still able to play some older aaa titles like gta v on lower settings without any issues. Guess i just got lucky haha

ah the 14isk is a better version than this one, i believe this one is a lower models. your may have a better heat-sink and a fan , you can open it same way and check it out.

I'm dissapointed.. I got this model with Celeron 1.60ghz and oh man it's slow.. It can run some games I play very good but after couple of hours of playing it starts to hear up it literally burns my hand because how hot the cpu is. I've bought a cooling stand underneath the laptop and it really helped even boosted the performance which is great. The bad part is that you can only upgrade from HDD to SSD and that's it. I wish I could add more ram or better cpu.

I have one and I game on it. I personally think it'd be not much difference if it was hp or asus or acer models. The hardware (mobo, cpu, ram) solely affect a system's performance i have 6th gen cpu with amd r5 gpu and compared to a hp with similar specs and i dont see any difference. SSD makes my basic computing task easier ofc Since its a laptop its definitely not recommended to do upgrades other than ram and storage and both are upgradable too. Whats exactly makes people think its a bad model? aside from cooling system but yet again laptops are known to have bad cooling system anyway, use cooler pad it definitely helps. I actually got it used because my old laptop was broken and i couldnt afford a good laptop so pls convince me its still a reliable model :(

Mine is lenovo ideapad 110 (8GB RAM) with AMD Radeon graphic card and I won't complain coz it runs quite smoothly. Even though it's not a gaming laptop I can play MOBA games like LOL and DOTA smoothly and recently downloaded apex legends and PUBG lite its playable with low settings. I'd say there is so many cons as well but what more can we expect from a low budget laptop like this. Just be happy with what you have.

I go t scammed with this laptop, paid what was worth $400 in 2018. Got home and realized it only had 2 usb ports 😢. As for gaming I don't understand why any one would even consider gaming on this, people need to understand that laptops/notebooks are not for playing games. They are for work and school.

I have this up until now but yeah the worst one indeed. I only use this for school purposes but it can't help me at all. Tried to open Google but takes several minutes to load, clicked some apps and still took several minutes to open. I can't even concentrate on doing my research paper using this cause it lags all the time. I've got this laptop on year 2017 and it's been 3 years. It is still working but I need to plug the charger the whole time in order to turn on cause if I'll removed it there's no way this thing would turn on

I felt the same, my daughter needed a basic laptop for schoolwork but I wouldn't give her this as I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy its that bad it would have drove her mad. I'm considering changing the hdd to a ssd, maybe try improving the cpu cooling heat sink, install Linux but that's a lot of work.

I have this pc, it's really unpowerful. Paid a lot for this garbage. The heat management is horrible, i undervolt my PC to hell (10/100%) to make it run at a decent temp... Clean this up every month coz as soon as dust came inside, it start overheating and glitching sometimes. Damn..and opening it, i can't even opening it fully, it's locked with the dvd reader. I'm god damn dissapointed of this computer. Sincrely, next time i buy something, i'll pick a desktop. This laptop is very limited in everything it does, even N64 games are running like this on it. I miss my old 2014 laptop...

I'm RN, with an another video playing and being on facebook discord and youtube at 40°C. From less than 1GHZ to 1.89GHZ (tiiiiny overclock), the perf difference is giagantuan. Doesn't mean it's good tho xD i can finally watch videos in 1080p 60fps. Finally. 480p was a pain.

I bought this crap laptop with a broken screen then I bought another one which wasn't working, main board was gone on it. I swapped the 15" screen over to this Intel celron, soldered ram/cpu heap of - - - - and unfortunately got it working only to discover how slow it was, every Windows update takes hours and hours, it is the worst laptop I've ever experienced, "talk about watching paint dry", This Is Bad VERY Bad. I would never buy a basic bottom anything again if I can help it, lenovo has lost a customer for life, I've wasted days with this thing. Such a pity because its got a great keyboard large screen etc but no good speed wise. At Least Now I Know Why The Screen Was Broken in the first place? the ordinal owner lost his temper with it and put his fist through it, a bit like Elvis with TVs. Please never buy a bottom end laptop for the sake of your sanity.

ALWAYS i recommend you never go with any intel celeron cpu. make sure you get at least a intel I3 or I5, i7 or higher. then the ram and storage and screen size are secondary. also get the exact model and use google image or ebay search for heat-sink and motherboard so you get an idea what you getting. here what you have its a low grade tablet with big screen and a keyboard. also lenovo is not the only company that is doing this you will find the same garbage with asus, acer, and even worse HP. now all brands they make like 9 categories, unlike old time were they used to make 1or 2 categories. now its a war and the war is who can push out and sell the most, the 9+ categories are as followed: 1. high end premium 2. high end 3. high 4. normal grade 5. blow normal 6. low grade 7. low 8. garbage 9. Fu***k the consumers conclusion: research and research before buying talk or ask us (me recommendation), i would gladly tell you the side effects of buying this types, which includes the following symptoms: headaches, vomiting, nausea, anger issues :P

bought the same model, the 15.6" one with a Celeron processor. IT IS THE WORST THING EVER. cant even run microsoft edge smoothly. all it does best is microsoft office. it does load older games like Generals Command and Conquer in a playable framerate so i guess theres that. It was my first laptop back in 2016. Now i switched to Mac.

i used this laptop when i was like 14/15 in 2016? idk. i came back to it because my current laptop has to be in repair for a week and i needed something to at least watch my movies and oh god, i forgot how terrible this laptop was. it's so slow. i installed linux lite on it and it's okay-ish, can even play minecraft with low settings and optifine with 20-50 fps

Regarding fan missing and bad heatsink, they are all over all models of hp toshiba and lenovo even some asus... but again all this shit only applies to the lower end laptops up to mid range laptops, if you want something that can last you long time and in a laptop.. you have to invest to get the top ends or simply go PC. This model that i opened it was from a client of mine and not all hp have missing fan, all the laptops with the same model nomber are the same. Search with exact model nomber. For eg. Hp 15-xxxx. Will not have fan or bad heat sink but if you search hp15-zzzz it will look alike from outside but with fan. When investigating make sure use all resources exact model and number. they do this intentionally , they dont care much about durability they need to isolate low class people and then sell and resell, they need the stuff to last only year or max two so people can re-buy, and they know that people that buy this have less chance of filing a lawsuit. before the war between brands were "who can make the best and last longer" now they know that all people see is specs and so war has been changed to " who can sell the most and keep selling" the stock markets needs sells production must be high, in order to keep production going they must push out garbage and quick. sad but its true if you seen the progression for the last 20years in electronic repair. they are not looking for durability anymore.

I have this model, a piece of trash, I hate this laptop I also have a new linovo ThinkPad no more buying these linovo product waste of money

i don't like lenovo either. i had upgraded from this laptop to a lenovo gaming laptop (ideapad l340) and it was almost as much garbage. ofc it was very very very fast and good for gaming, but the overheating was so unreal you could cook your morning eggs on the keyboard! i really hate lenovo as a company, switched to HP Omen a year ago and oh god that laptop is a dream.

Andrea Solomon if they use it just for school stuff like word excel and internet it should be fine. And they should turn it off every few hours so it can cool down.

Lenovo is best. It have cooling fan, ram changing slot, it's a china fake model.

they are not fake nor china model. they are sold directly in lenovo! you have a different base model then you have a up version of this 110 model , do your research my friend before concluding :) china dont make pirate version of lenovo laptops, they just make different brand! check you base model this are one of many base models: lenovo ideapad 110-15isk lenovo ideapad 110-15ibr lenovo ideapad 110-14lbr lenovo ideapad 110-14isk and so on... just because you paid the extra and got the one with a fan and heat-sink,!
