I can't believe you have to take apart the whole laptop for this. My other laptop all you have to do is pop out the keyboard and everything is accessible from the top.
@@LahisTechLT Even if I could somehow manage to do it, I can't get hold of the speakers... I live in Europe, and I think that you ordered them from US, right?
@@penkatadrums Yeah, it was from US, just one left when I was purchasing this pair. It is hard to find Genuine JBL speakers for Y500/510/510P, most of them are fake... Check out the link in video description, may be it will send to your country.
@@LahisTechLT Thank you, sir! That was exactly what I was going to ask :) How do you tell if they are genuine or fake? I found a couple from sellers near me, but I cannot identify them. Can you please help? Is the y70 touch speaker same as the y510p,i have the y70 spare and its speaker is amazing,y510p is not working, can i replace it,? Y70touch has a bass module (stupid question)but is it possible to put it in y510p?
Are those speakers the same as the custom ones, so I have to replace them every 2-3 years? Nah... Cheap stereo PC speakers will do it. Thanks for the video..
not really worth replacing too many small things that can break, especially the ribbon cable clips, use headphones or external speakers. Its been a good laptop though 12 years old i think and still useable. I did replace my speakers but wasnt worth it really. Be careful with the cord that goes to the laptop screen, mine wouldnt seat good and was making the screen red tinted. I fixed it but if you press on a certain part of the laptop it will make the screen red, otherwise its fine but still not worth the effort for a diy. One of my ribbon clips broke, I held it down tightly used super glue gel, and sprayed it with super glue accelerant and that has worked. Use the glue on top, dont put it underneath where the pins connect if this happens.
