I talk about the performance upgrade I did to my Lenovo S145 laptop and the benefits of having done it, as well as the costs.
Was it worth it, yes.
Turned it into a very pleasant to use laptop.
And pretty good performance for the money spent.
R2800-00 in South Africa, $150 for international viewers.
The ram was moved from 8G to 16G, that is the max that can be fitted to the laptop.
It is 2400HHz DR4 type ram I used.
The M2 NVME SSD installed is 1TB, from Crucial.
The existing HDD was changed to a 125G for my docs and other frequently changed files, it was a free spare I had lying around.
The battery life is now 5 hours on full screen brightness and 10 hours at 50%.
