Lenovo Legion T5 PC - PSU Upgrade DeepCool 750w Bronze 80+, Gaming PC 

I know this video is old, but thank you so much! I just successfully replaced my 2023 model PSU that was making weird clicking noises and your guide worked perfect. It seems very scary until you realize it's literally just plugging some wires in and making them fit. Managing all the cables was the hard part. For those like me with a recent T5: a) a lot of the ziptied parts are now metal clips integrated into the case. There are only two zipties to cut now. b) the psu is easily removable without taking out the custom cables from the bottom. They rerouted these to make it easier.

Very Good Info!!, Upgraded to the "Silverstone 750W Gold" from the links. NOTE: the bracket that holds the psu, and the foam can be a huge pain to remove. But after that install is pretty simple

It gets easier and easier. Did this swap-out this morning on my brand new Legion T5. Can confirm the newer versions have a 650w power supply already, but I needed more for the RTX 4060 Ti. I didn't have to remove the custom cables along the base of the motherboard to wiggle out the supply, so perhaps that housing has changed a bit, though the holding bracket is still there. And there were another two (optional for the psu upgrade, I guess) to remove a plastic support bracket from the side of the graphics card to wiggle that out of its socket. Basically, the psu upgrade part consisted of 5 plugs and 8 minutes. The entire upgrade from case-off to case-on again was probably 20. I *might* have been able to do it without this video, but I'm old and set in my ways, and this guide made it a snap. Really not much more difficult than swapping out an amplifier in a home stereo system. (For those interested, I used a Cooler Master 750W Bronze+ modular PSU. Works like a charm, though the mammoth power cables are a little tricky to fit back in the case so the side goes back on smoothly.) One other thing to point out. I have autism and often have a hard time following instructions as given. This video was very straightforward. Left me with zero questions. I really, really appreciate that.

Picked one of these up last year while we were working remote. I’m a piping designer using CAD and knew I was like what’s the best thing to go for if I’m gonna retire the laptop. Knew I couldn’t go wrong with a setup like this. Sure enough I started getting back into flight sims and i live the ease at which you can upgrade parts in this thing to better handle what you do.

Got a quick question for ya , on some older videos you’ve done on the Hp pavilion gaming desktop, How difficult would it be to swap a completely stock HP Pavilion 690-0073W into a newer nicer looking case ? I’m really new to PC’s and this was my first computer I’ve bought . Got it a couple years ago and I’m ready to do some upgrades. Would it be possible to do a complete swap into a different case ? Thanks !

Hello, I have a lenovo t730 - Legion T730-28ICO Desktop (Lenovo) - Type 90JF - i am looking to upgrade the 500W PSU to something more powerful. I am confused on the dimensions of the PSU. if i want to get a 1000W psu, what dimension should I look for so that it fits the case ? i would like to add a 4080 graphics card and upgrade the existing 2080 super. do you think its a possible ? thanks for taking the time to read and looking forward to your reply

Is there any drawback to installing a massive power supply (like 1,000+) now in anticipation of upgrades in the future? Thinking about putting in a Thermaltake Toughpower TF1 1550W 80+ Titanium.

I just bought my legion T5 a few hours ago, is my first desktop pc after many years so I forgot some things If I install 128gb RAM on this pc I will need to buy a new power supply?

Definitely gonna be taking my tower to the local PC shop when I upgrade the PSU. as it is It took me 45 minutes to install a second SSD, this is way too cables for my brain to keep track of.

Why not modular? As were I doing it, it would only be modular. I detest extra useless cables and chanes for air flow interference.

What's up my favorite tech RU-vidr!! I need help bad if you could. I wanted to migrate my operating system from HDD to sdd and I use this genius I couldn't figure it out so I backed out of it and now somehow I'm getting the 3 f0 error codeWhich says no boot device available and to please load up OS on to the computer. It's a HP pavilion desktop tg01-0018 Erica motherboard please help me explain how I can get that back it's my son's computer and all I was trying to do is transfer the OS from the HDD to the Sdd but I couldn't understand how to do it so I just backed out of it and once we turn the computer off and turn it back on we got that error and I can't get it fixed if you would know anyways to get it fixed please help me I've been with you from the beginning I appreciate you. Also I already tried to hard reset it I ran all the tests the storage test everything was fine with the hard drives I think somehow the partition that had the OS on it got erased or got messed up somehow and I'm lost
