Thank you, the video was helpful and well explained. I just missed one part; do I have to disable the internal battery? I was told that it can be done through the Bios setup utility menu.

Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your question: i would highly highly recommend you not to clone the OS you will get errors and random crashes, we tried many programs and none is 100%. i would recommend fresh install of the windows 10, i made a video on how to create windows 10 usb boot drive: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uDu8j2lE-dM.html and i also made a video on how to properly install windows 10 (its different brand but the installation steps are the same , boot menu is F12): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GkMZyCUarIA.html

A few days ago, my T460 started to only power up for 1 or 2 seconds, even with the power cord connected, then turn itself off. It did start up correctly one time after I put a different battery pack in, but now it it is back to turning off after 2 seconds, just the keyboard lighting up not the screen. Do you know what causes this? A bad capacitor in the power supply? Any help welcome.

Non ti consiglio di clonare i dischi, perché potresti riscontrare errori improvvisi e riavvii. L'installazione pulita di Windows è più veloce e migliora le prestazioni. SE desideri clonare il disco, hai bisogno di due componenti: un adattatore SSD-USB e un software. Adattatore USB: amzn.to/3MDCMx2 Software: Macrium Reflect Successivamente, devi installare il programma e collegare il nuovo SSD al laptop tramite l'adattatore. Quindi, CLONA l'HDD principale sul NUOVO SSD e, dopo aver terminato, sostituisci l'HDD con l'SSD. È un piacere aiutarti, per quanto riguarda la RAM puoi verificare la capacità massima della tua RAM guardando questo video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tKEJTkVth4Q.html Abbiamo effettuato l'aggiornamento per 16 GB su questi laptop: 2 x 8 GB, assicurati di trovare una SDRAM DDR3L (la L indica la bassa tensione). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xezprkcmXpY.html Puoi inserire solo un SSD o un HDD da 2,5 pollici, per l'HDD un massimo di 2 TB a profilo basso, e per l'SSD 2,5" fino a 2 TB, e tutti gli SSD hanno lo stesso profilo basso. Ti consiglio di utilizzare un SSD Samsung Evo. Questi laptop non dispongono di uno slot di archiviazione M.2 NVME.

Thank you! for the feedback and your support to the channel by SUB :P regarding your question: yes if you remove the old drive and place the new ssd you will loose the windows and everything , because it will be in the old drive. thats why in the video at the end i give you an option to clone your hdd to new ssd using adapter and a simple program, so that way when you replace you have everything the way you had it before.

@@uFixTek My T460 has a PCIe port for a WWAN card, I've seen some videos on RU-vid that use that port to upgrade the storage, but I'm not really sure.

my bad by saying that the laptop don't have PCI-E express or m.2 sata available, i meant it doesn't have an extra available m.2 bay. sure you could remove your WWAN card and tape the antennas cable to prevent shorting and place a "m.2 2242 nvme" in there amzn.to/3fzQ6mL but the you wont have WWAN card.

@@sebastianveramorales6523 2TB is what has been tested, but its a PCI-E lane it can go up to 16TB , but there are no nvme m.2 ssd for 16tb so you good for any TB for now.

regarding that not everyone know how to get to bios and the fear of doing it. but yes you can do that, and it doesn't mean the power will be out all over the board. be very careful thank you for the feedback

you can't remove the password on T series lenovo, the T series lenovo are the high end lenovo and they are designed for security. ThinkPad T Series ThinkPad T Series is the flagship series of the ThinkPad line, with a combination of productivity and security features that make T Series laptops the favorite of business and professional users worldwide. the only way to reset password is to purchase the BIOS chip and another SU chip and so abit of soldering and re-programing.
