I’m a Samsung guy, but have an iPad Mini because of the performance and form factor. For some reason, Samsung and Lenovo are reluctant to make a high performance 8” model. Don’t get it.
Just got the M8 4th Gen 3Gb memory. It is slow.... Upgraded to Android 13 Go. Plan is for kids to use. Came with case and screen protector. Cost me £75. Screen is not bright. Sound not loud but for my kids is a bonus. Bargain regardless.
Lenovo disappoints me every year with the m7 and m8 tablets. My samsung note 8 tablet from 2013 had a 1280x800 and 2gb ram and cost me $400 australian dollars or $280 US. The m7 tablet is the perfect size to be a portable tablet and still be used as a phone. How hard would it be to give the m7 usb c 3.2, 1080 90hz display, 5000mah battery, 8gb ram, microSD slot, 16mp/64mp rear facing camera with flash, 8mp front facing camera, and a mediatek dimensity 1200 or similar? At around $500-600 it would sell like mad and would still be useful for the next few years.
That tablet is not designed for general public, especially from the 1st generation. It is for students learning purpose in Mainland China. Many primary schools and junior secondary classes in Mainland China buy a lot for students to use in so-called "IT lesson" in normal classroom. In order to avoid the students to play "game", it is designed to be "low-end".
How are they still milking a non full HD screen, and horrifyingly bad processor. We still haven't had a proper successor to the higher end version of the 3rd generation model. Why don't Android Oems make a good 8 inch tablet. Don't know what to get if my Mi Pad 4 stops working.
@@HuntaKiller91 cause the use case is a lot different at 10 inch. 8 inch is perfect for media consumption without straining your hands. Kinda like huge phone.

I guess they purposely handicapped the tablet to not overshadow the M9. But that's if it's selling the M9 in similar market. If the M8 is the only option, it's completely not good as even a basic phablet. They could've made this a bit more powerful hut unfortunately, it's never the case.

Such a bummer! I bought one (black) an the picture is quite nice considering how much it costs. I don't plan to take pics. It's performance is sooooo mediocre. It's laggy as hell! And the volume goes from zero to 7. There's no option to go in between. Cannot quietly watch something. 7 is loud enough for those in the room to still hear it. 😡
I’m not surprised, more so after my first-hand experience with Lenovo tablets - last autumn/fall my parents bought Lenovo’s Tab M10 FHD Plus to replace their old Huawei Mediapad….and regretted their choice almost instantly: despite the newer processor and double the ram and storage on the Lenovo Tab, their old Huawei tablet was faster and ran smoothlier….the Lenovo Tab lagged even opening the Play Store.

graphs that don't specify units are incomplete, just as articles that don't specify (original) publication date. if not units, atleast specify if more or less is better.
I have the Lenovo Tab M7 1st gen that I purchased back in 2016 and it's still working to date. However its outdated, slow and practically useless thanks to the ageing 5.1 Lollipop and 1 GB of RAM onboard.
My M8 Gen 3 has 3GB of RAM, and it's sluggish as hell, to the point it's not usable for me. How can Lenovo ship this new version with 2GB of RAM? Someone mentioned a potential overlap between the M8 and M9, and they're right. The M9 I just bought works perfect for me, and the difference in size and weight is negligible.
Thank you i am shopping around as a middle age “housewife gamer” on farming game… originally I treated myself to an iPad mini 2018 “MORE fun with the gaming apps than smaller screen trying to on iPhone.” The particular size tablet I now wish to get an android for mobile gaming. Portable handbag size Easy to put in kitchen draw when multi tasking cooking for family while keeping eye on game in session. I would be a PC gamer but my budget will not allow this. And the other types of consoles are too big and bulky… the ability to Moving from room to room at home I like the freedom of this size device. Perfect for face time friends fam too. I understand there is a switch for portable gaming. But I’m on discord with many mobile gamers and I love the community. A tablet designed with a better graphics card et cetera I cannot afford I need android I need it this size for portability and good processing+ memory… during my searching today i read To reduce lag get 120Hz refresh “minimum.. of parameter for flow of screen action” It’s all a minefield for the consumer thank you so much for this video I will look at more on your channel thank you.
However, I feel like there is still latent demand for (at least one) 8-inch tablet with good performance ranging between 200-300€. As far as I know there has been no such item on the market for years. I would buy it a know many that would either.

I just got this tablet and then got discouraged and got a7 lite . I can surely tell you it's not night and day between m8 gen 4 2gb and a7 lite . I actually like the stock android so much better , it's so close to iOS . I would be returning back the a7 lite and will be getting the 3 gb ram version of m8 . Don't listen to reviewers the m8 4 gen is excellent . It's very fluid I mean not like my fold 4 but I like it more than the a7 lite .
terribly ignorant with computer stuff, don't understand what ur saying but simply trying to use this is a nightmare.. simply leaving the last app i was using, opening the RU-vid app and getting here has been ridiculous (btw i was struggling to spell the last word and the keyboard- predictive bit that guesses the next word, couldn't spell it either lol...? i had to stop and get a real dictionary).. i have all but given up using RU-vid because of the insane rotation problems this has.. i can't leave this page and have a look around RU-vid.. oh no.. i can just close it.. where has the red light that indicates charging gone? can i get it back? simple thing but helpful.. where has the Bluetooth sign gone? on the last two Lenovos i had, i could see on my home page if Bluetooth was on.. not with this.. (silly thing but helpful, especially as this machine is really bad with switching Bluetooth on, i don't trust it..) ..sorry.. i could go on..
Po Aktualizacji do wersji systemu Android 13 znika funkcja podzielny ekran czy może ktoś sprawdzić czy też wam ta funkcja znikła jeśli tak to dajcie znać.
so pissed off with this tablet, only had it three hours.. normally i expect to see a triangle, a circle and a square at the bottom of the screen, but it's not there.. makes moving around the device really hard for me.. trying to leave this page is going to be annoying
@@MyNextTablet hi thankyou very much.. if i can't work out this navigation thing then i will have to buy a new device which is ridiculous.. i have read a similar explanation, but i don't understand.. i can't see or find what you are talking about.. sorry! it's me.. i am totally ignorant here.. sorry..
@@MyNextTablet hi, so maybe i'll try that again.. what would it be called? i have looked in settings and in display and can't find anything that points me in that direction.. navigation.. thankyou for ur help 🙂
@@davidevans3227 Hi! I found this on RU-vid, i hope it helps :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Mb6xdmd8ak.html&ab_channel=Kclaudio-Leadership
I just got it . Even the 2gb ram is great . Actually I am returning the a7 lite as the quality of Lenovo and aspect ratio is awesome . Don't blindly listen to reviewers but see for yourself . I have had every expensive Samsung and apple tablets but I can tell you only m8 gives me the iPad mini 6 vibes . Love it .
Worst tab lenovo released Not sure if it's just mine, but if your tab when eg *your on a MS word document, to even listening to music,, if you need to activate a short cut on the pull down tab, top of the screen and say choose Bluetooth or Power saver, the screen goes off, back to the home screen and if you got a pattern or pin code, you have to unlock it and the work you were doing is lost or you have to reopen that app again,, a really poor software flaw, took mine back and it is a FLAW in these Gen 4
