I tried your way of opening the bottom panel but I heard some cracking noise. I stopped becuase I think I broke some tiny edges that holds on to the main body. Did you experience that as well?
they are 9/10 times made with snap backs. Usually its normal. some (like my razer blade 14) aparently has a slide hook. which i broke. It didnt matter tho since it made no diff. usually it takes some force to break something. dont worry
