Well, it could either be the panel itself or the motherboard. Are you able to try reseating the cable connection both to the display panel and to the motherboard? I just worked on a ThinkPad T530 where it turned out the dim display was caused by the motherboard, so I swapped in a replacement I had in old stock. I did actually order and try installing a new panel, but it was still dim. I even tried a new cable. So, a motherboard swap was the soution.

@@HaisteComputerRepair Sorry for the late reply, I just got the alert for this. Initially I thought it was the motherboard, however the asset works just fine on an external monitor. I think it is the panel, the seller claims the panel is fine but quit responding.

@@LordAlasterWell if the panel is so dim that you can't see anything then it's of course not fine. Where did you buy from? Is there recourse in pursuing a return or refund before investing in a new panel?

@@HaisteComputerRepair I ordered it from a seller on amazon. I've been trying to get it sent back for 2-3 weeks. So I have one last ditch effort to get a refund.
