When Leo Barry took that mark, this Swans fan went absolutely bananas. I honestly thought I'd never see us win one. Arguably the most important mark ever taken.

My dad was born in 1924. He used to walk to the footy grounds as a child as he had a mentally ill single mother that never had any money (didn't pay the rent) but I digress. As a 9 year old he saw South Melbourne win in 1933. His hero was Bob Pratt. Dad's 5 children were over the moon when the Swans won in 2005 and dad lived long enough to witness it. Leo Barry was a hero that day

Great that he lived to see that. I grew up near the Lakeside, too. Used to walk down with my brothers to watch South's home matches. Then co-incidentally moved to Sydney the same year they did!

This is the only gf I've managed to get tickets to. And as a wc supporter it was a sad day for me. This is actually the first time I've seen the end of the game since then.
