Sayer launched his career in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s, and he became a top singles and album act on both sides of the Atlantic in the 1970s. His first seven hit singles in the United Kingdom all reached the Top 10 - a feat first accomplished by his first manager, Adam Faith. His songs have been sung by other notable artists, including Cliff Richard ("Dreaming"), Roger Daltrey, and Three Dog Night.
Leo’s hits include 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing', 'When I Need You', 'More Than I Can Say', 'Thunder In My Heart Again (feat. Meck)', ‘Moonlighting', ‘Long Tall Glasses’, ‘Orchard Road’ and ‘The Show Must Go On’.

I have been a fan of Leo Sayer's music since he came to prominence in the 1970s. Orchard Road remains one of my favourites to this day. I mostly love Leo Sayer's new Northern Songs album, which covers many Beatles classics. I particularly like his boogying dance version of Eleanor Rigby (there are two versions on the new album) and prefer his rendition of Across The Universe to the original. There are though some tracks that evidence that Leo's aged voice is now struggling to reach the pitch he once ably exceeded. Norwegian Wood ought to have played to his vocal strengths but he gives a lackluster performance. Nonetheless, there are some gems on this album. However, Leo totally destroys 'Revolution' and I am grateful that he left Imagine well alone.
