Leon has sloppy hands and shells up to pressure, all Belal needed to do was working on his boxing and that’s was enough to beat Leon, Makhachev tho is a different match up becasue he likes to stand more in a kickboxing range but the wrestling and grappling would have been worst for Leon, I think Jdm would have tko him and Khamzat can submit him in the first round, Leon never looked like a dominant champion to me.
I actually think belal could do the same to shavkat. shavkat has a problem pacing himself and if he doesn't hurt belal early on, I can see belal cardio bully him and win a decision
@user-ve7hn2dh8h Before Belal beat Leon, I gave him maybe 10% chance to beat Shavkat. Now, I give him 20% chance, lol. Unlike Leon and Belal, Shavkat actually has the ability to finish fights. Belal has to survive Shavkat for AT LEAST 2 rounds. Maybe 3. Only way for Belal to win is by taking the last 3 rounds if Shavkat slows down.
@@vanguardprime4636 I wouldn't bet on it. Belal is not a slow starter and if he can take shafkat down, he can steal rounds early on, as well. So far belal always rose to the occasion, and I think he's actually better on his feet than many people give him credit for. He can't outstrike or hurt a really good striker like shafkat, but he can drag those guys down to his level, with fast hands, pace and constant threat of take downs
Leon isn't a robot. He is just an elite mid-range(kickboxing range) fighter with 0 bag if you get him in close range. Good thing is that this fight made your rant about Islam's performance against Dustin's age terribly. Islam would've eaten Leon and heck I would pick Charles or Dustin to beat Leon up a weight close. Leon is a product of a hail mary + old Usman and Colby and no that's not revisionist history, I've always said it.

leon was a big disappointment, i never want to see him main event again. he has no heart, no grit, no killer instinct, no desire or motivation to win fights. everytime he fights, his coach gotta motivate him and for a grown man to depend on his coach for motivation to win is embarrassing😂

Kickboxers have garbage hands and terrible defense, especially to punches. They haven’t a clue how to handle punches. This included Izzy and Pereira. Don’t get why people don’t see this

@@hakunamatata-w3873 The punching mechanics are entirely shot to shit. Footwork is non-existent. Understanding of space and engagement range is entirely ignored. Head movement and essentially the entire system behind catch and shoot are likewise dismissed. It's embarrassing. And I'm a guy who spent most of his time kiockboxing. It's just that boxing is my favorite martial art. Is there a lot about boxing that doesn't apply to MMA and kickboxing... Not as much as people think but there are things like exaggerated head movement and wide stance. There are just many more things that are applicable.

Biggest thing that was exposed for me was Leon’s grit and killer instinct. There was no sense of urgency when he was clearly down on the cards. The last thirty seconds of the fight he decided to turn it up to no avail lol

And I dont agree that the better grappler will mostly always win, its an MMA sparring fight, anything could happen...however, my point is that looking the sparring is one way to predict the real fight's outcome..
Leon didn’t even get the takedown in the first fight, it was idiotic to think that’s how he would win! When he got back to his feet the smart play was to land strikes.

I didnt like him because of the usman dethrone but when we thought khamzat would maul nate, leon couldnt finish him. I also didnt like belal much but he has a fan now after he made a mockry of leon.
