The worst thing is that he looked like he was running out of ideas, his body language changed going into round 3 and 4 it didn't look like he had anything left, but his corner was the inspiration he needed. The coach literally asked him or told him to stop feeling sorry for himself in round 5 and I think I heard someone say something about the headkick
@@aribrahim1898 Yes! I saw that and his entire body language changed to super relaxed and composed leading up to that last minute. He remembered why he was in that octagon. He wasnt being punished, he was given the opportunity of a lifetime and he took it. People say it was a Rocky moment, I say it was a Karate Kid moment, taking the champ out in a single high kick.
@@aribrahim1898 Yes but despite all that, that was a lucky shot, he was trying the set up at all but it was less that 1 minute left he throw a kick and Kamaru was just relax or due to general tireness of 5 rounds, he had his hand a lil bit more low that it should have been and Usman got knocked out but that doesnt say that Usman is not arguably the best Welterweight or for sure one of the greats in the story of welterwieght and also MMA but haters are always there to pick something, i remember with Israel Adesanya, X figher will destroy him, after this Y, after this Z and so on, also after bringing his unique K.O loss in other sport, many years ago to drag him down. You know I was happy for him until he started talking like he wasn’t getting his ass whooped and dominated for the entire fight. Then the Ariel interview was insufferable too because I thought he was more humble. I’d still bet the house on Usman next fight
Let's not overlook how accurate Mojahed was here. He made us laugh with the journey but he also accurately anticipated that Edwards was a legitimate contender. Impressive.
Not accurate at all, marty faked the eye poke and nut shot, he also didnt include marty grabbing leons glove and the fence grabs, portrayed the wrong guy as the cheater in this one

From " I believe I deserve title shot next that's 9 fights in a row" to becoming champ. Won ist round and tried to submit his opponent who wasn't in this position before. Then in round 2 3 4 was out-wrestled by his opponents wrestling game. Round 5 starts with the same we even thought it was game over from him but man he never gave up. less than 50 seconds left in fight. I blinked and saw his opponent falling towards ground. In replays saw what actually happened, how smartly the KO kick was set up. What a great display of determination and never give up attitude. Even when whole world thought itz game over, he believed in himself and became champ ❤️
literally i was at the airport watching the fight and we were walking to the plane and i thought i should just turn it off 3 mins into the 5th, im so glad i left it on for another minute otherwise i would've thought usman won by UD and be shocked when im back from my flight 😂
Who would have thought Usman would be joining the ghost squad himself. This is a crazy fking sport, man. I rooted for Usman but I couldn't help but smile when Leon was on the verge of tears at the end. That was some typa movie ending. Easily the most shocking moment in recent MMA history.
Not much of a fan myself, but I was happy for him. Watching him talking to his mom on the phone in the back, in tears, was also great to see. Congrats to the new champ!
Under a minute to go and hearing the commentary say Leon just needs to let everything hang out and has nothing to lose and then boom. I was in complete shock 😲 . MMA is something else

Lol! Just the way Mojahed does an accurate parody summary of the fight is always hilarious. But for some reason the out of nowhere KO head kick had me DYING. I was laughing so hard. I guess the POW sound, his bug eyes and goofy/surprised facial expression, the successive replays of the shot and Usman flying upward and back thru the air. Then him laying on the ground, his mouth wide open and his bug eyes looking in opposite directions.😆🤣 Thanks for this. I needed a good laugh.

For Mojahed this must be incredible considering besides Leon's resume, he was the #1 force behind marketing the fight that he DESERVED THE TITLE SHOT NEXT. AND BOY WAS THAT TRUE

Dominic Cruz's ghost is my new favorite thing in this club. Still running on the spot and the head movement 😂. It's actually detracting my attention away from the rest of the pack.
I don't think I've ever been happier for a fighter. Leon deserves it all and will remain a top name. The only one not only to take down, but to KO Usman too. Can't believe I was there in the stadium to see it too. Thank you UFC for hosting in Salt Lake!
Big congratulations to Leon. His overall game has evolved so much because he has put the work in. My jaw honestly hit the floor when he hit that outside trip and landed right on top of Usman. I hope that people will not forget that he took Usman down, and was the first to ever do it!
