The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Leonard Miller with the 33rd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Leonard Miller, who played alongside Scoot Henderson with the G-League Ignite, is a 19-year-old power forward who was initially projected to be picked anywhere from the late first round of the draft, all the way up to the lottery, but Miller instead fell to the second round.
But after a promising showing with the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Summer League, Leonard Miller looks like he could be a contributor sooner rather than later. He could be one of the biggest steals in terms of 2023 NBA draft picks.

@@geno8852 I’m agreeing with you it’s talented, local sports media for the pistons was saying it was an off year for talent and that we should’ve traded out of getting ausar which I disagreed. It wasn’t just local media saying that though, I am always against people knocking the draft before they even play. Ausar Thompson and Marcus sasser are beats.

the fact he fell to the timberwolves at 33 was really surprising me coming into the draft i had him going nets at 22 the timberwolves really got a steal like his unique skillset if he can become a average 3 point shooter he can become a good player that can affect the game in multiple ways

I agree I’m not sure how the scouts missed this one. 6’10 with passing good defensive awareness good shooting, averaged a double double at 19 with 64% ts, yeah the nba slept on this one 😂😂😂

Run him at SF and his size and athleticism including shot will definitely be valuable but as a PF it’s way too many great NBA players at that position where he wouldn’t have any advantage but as a tall SF with his skill set it would give him a great advantage seeing as he would be able to shoot over/ out size most SF’s in the league so teams would either have to switch the big leaving the post weak or they would have to sacrifice the mismatch and hope they player defense holds up. So in conclusion run him as SF especially when a smaller SF is in on the opposing team and you have the advantage. By him mostly playing as guard until his growth spurt I think the SF position will feel more natural to him

I believe Miller's shot will be totally scrapped and rebuilt. (Lonzo Ball-style) His shot won't work and won't be allowed to work in the NBA. Even if Miller's shot has decent efficiency in the Summer League, it'll still be corrected because, when he goes into a slump, it'll be a black hole. (Ben Simmons-style) Thanks for the video.

Um... Last year Minot and Moore got some time, but not a ton because they weren't near ready compared to what they have. Naz, Jmac, Jaden, Ant have all gotten very good playing time in their Rookie year. So no clue what you are talking about. Wolves are actually know recently for being VERY good developers of talent.

Apparently your reading comprehension got less minutes then the rookies. The Wolves have given mins to rookies in the past.. but they were simply too deep to give a ton this year.. Deep enough to finish above .500 even with KAT missing 53 and over 200 games missed by the team. Minott got least with only 96 mins. Moore got 154 mins. Garza wasn't even mentioned in either of our posts... because he was NOT a rookie LOL. He was a rookie in 2021 with the Pistons when he played in 390 mins over 32 games. (244 mins over 28 this year) And if you learned to read full posts, instead of badly cherry picking a month old post... 'Naz, Jmac, Jaden, Ant have all gotten very good playing time in their Rookie year.' ANT - 2311 mins in rookie year Naz - 1344 mins in rookie year Jmac - 938 mins in rookie year Jaden - 1512 min in rookie year They all got very good rookie playing time, and were all in the group of good talent development by the Wolves. Learn to read, man.

Ant (21), Jaden (22), Miller (19), Naz (23), NAW (24), Minot (20), Moore (21), Clark (21), Brown Jr (23), Garza (24)... 10 players all 24 and under lol. And then you add in KAT (27), Shake Milton (26), Anderson (29), JMac (27) all under 30. Gobert (31) and Conley (35) are only players above 30.. But 'ThEy GaVe AwAy ThEiR fUtUrE' I think its funny people focus on the Gobert trade.. yet the Wolves are still one of most talented young teams in the league. And a VERY deep team in a league full of very top heavy no depth teams.

This guy could save Minn from that horrible Gobert trade. His numbers at the GL Ignite are no joke, infact, he should have been a top ten-15 based on his stats alone. It’s much harder than college, and sets you up for the NBA. Just look at last years version, Jaden Hardy, he is so much better than everyone thought. If your a top athlete and you go to G league instead of college you get a nice head start.

I dont think Kyle Anderson and Leonard Miller are the same player, Miller could potencially play as a pseudo Vando and Anderson can play also as a spread out wing, which would open up space and ease up lineups with KAT at the 5. Also, the front court depth is not an issue for next season cause Miller is probably gonna spend a lot of time in the G League.
