The Big Bang Theory Season 6 Episode 24 - The Bon Voyage Reaction. Leonard reveals he is leaving to work for Hawking for four months. Leonard also tells Penny to look after Sheldon. I do not own anything!
+Rainbow Mills Go to tvtickets.com. there you can get free tickets to any Warner Brothers-produced show that has a live audience. It was one of the coolest things i have ever done. there is nothing like walking onto that sound stage and seeing those sets in person.
You got to appreciate how understanding Penny was about the move. Especially given that she doesn't have a clue what he'd be working on the entire time.
I just realized, this is the second time Leonard was gonna be away for 3 months. First time Penny was trying to say she wished he wasn't going but now that theyre a couple they don't have that problem and she wont try to stop him
She had a problem this time too. Look at how she behaved when he was away. Look at how she reacted when he told her he was having the best time of his life. If anything him going away bothered her more this time as he was partying with other women, something not possible in the North Pole. The only good thing about this trip was that he was more likely to return alive this time.
"Sweetie, if you're going to screw things up, its while you are here, not while you are away." somehow Leonard managed to screw things up while he was away. Mandy Chow, I'm looking at you
I HATED that! But it seemed like she barely recalled it; they were both drunk. That's no excuse, but it's better than if he had done that sober. We would never intentionally hurt Penny.
@Rachel Johnson No, it's not better if he had done it sober. You are just as much a master of your own mental faculties when you're drunk, you're just exposing who you really are. What you really want. Leonard did. And of course, being drunk inhibits coordination etc. And WoW, TBBT has become so bad.
Technically, but also not really. What he did wasn't THAT bad, and if you think about it, it wasn't intentional. Leonard and Penny did fight, but it didn't last that long. Even after she found out, she married him. They are still together. They are good.
GuitarWholesale I didn't even know the word "technically" when i was 5 or 6. Also to type a clear sentence that good at 5 or 6 or be on the computer by myself at all at that age would have been a miracle
I think you answered your own question - Stephen Hawking is a well-known physicist that the non-scientific-academia community would be able to identify as someone with whom it'd be a great honour to work. Perfect example - in 'The Terminator Decoupling' when Penny has no idea who George Smoot is yet he is a brilliant mind in his field, she would be the majority of the audience watching the show
Hawking is highly respected in his field and he's famous. That means his ideas will get extra attention and funding. In reality, he'd have colleagues involved in his research, but Leonard knows Penny wouldn't be familiar with the others, so he just mentions Hawking.
I think its time Penny got a part in a movie. Wouldn't it be cool if it was in the Superman/Batman movie as say Bruce Wayne s love interest. Leonard should at least get a nomination for a Nobel Prize for his work with Hawking. How would Sheldon react?
You're a part of the sheep flock, I see. The magic of this series was that they all were unique in some kind of way. You and all your feeble-minded friends cried for lovey dovey relationships for all of them, and now almost every character in the show is ruined, Sheldon having the worst change. Fucking tards. Let's make it as generic and boring as possible.
Anthony Cruz 2 years ago Knowing Penny's character she probably cheats on him. Knowing Penny's character, she'd be the last to cheat on someone. She's loose, but monogamous.
How they were able to maintain a tight script for all those years... There were proper funny punches rather than just light funny premise that ensues hilarity...
"Do you remember when I said the similarities of the equations of General Relativity and Hydrodynamics suggest you could find the equivalent of Unruh Radiation in a large body of water?" This episode was released in 2013. The effect wasn't first captured until 2017 as described by the paper "Classical analog of the Unruh effect" by U. Leonhardt et al.
@@johnphilippatos Seems unlikely. The show was in May of 2013. Having gone for four months, he would have been back End September 2013. I doubt he would have enough time to complete the paper by 2013.
@@fba90130 Yeah, but what you don't know, is that he actually had Hawking do the dirty work for him while he was partying at the North Pole, and then he published the paper under his name. That's how he managed to publish before the beginning of 2014. Smart guy!
@@johnphilippatos Even more unlikely given Hawking's lack of mobility. The point is that someone had to collect the data and it is unlikely a paralyzed theoretical physicist is going to do it. Data collection took four months and probably more time was needed to arrange the data into something useable. It doesn't matter if the analysis was done by Hawking or Einstein.
But he did almost screw things up. Isn’t this the trip where he made out with a girl on the ship, and didn’t tell Penny until right before they were going to get married?
I hope I can stay in Akron longer than 4 months I think I hold it soft spot in my heart for this place because my grandmother took me to the Akron Library with no one no family no friends it's those little memories that keep me alive
Sweety if you are going to screw something up, it's going to be while you are here and not while you are away... this aged badly... Leonard was a jerk for cheating on Penny
She didn't when he went to the North pole. On a different note I wonder why Stephen Hawking is presented to be the best physicist in the world. He is the most well-known (because he wrote a very popular book), but not the one with the biggest discoveries. A man like Peter Higgs is still alive (although retired).
this clip is about penny and leonard's relationship and leonard caring enough about penny to talk about how leaving for four months would affect her and the relationship they have... and all you can talk about is why they are using Stephen Hawking as the person giving leonard the opportunity for the trip... GET OVER YOURSELVES!!! if you have a thing against hawking I am sure there is a website to rag on him all you want! try to enjoy bbt for the light entertainment it's meant to be!
i doubt he is, however is incredibly smart. But i really think he isnt the most. Just to point it out. Being smart doesnt mean being succesfull. We could say he is one of the most succesfull for sure.
I realize that there are quite a few people who do not believe that I was in this studio audience, but it is true nonetheless. The internet is always going to be full of haters, so there is not point in arguing with them. Scroll down and you will find a lengthy, detailed account of the entire experience. There are other videos hereon that clearly show there is a studio audience during the taping. It took an incredible 5 hours to tape this episode which resulted in 22-23 minutes of footage after editing. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
