just watched "gangs of NY" 9 yrs after it came out and he was incredibly good in it. any actor that can pull off over 2 and a half hours of keeping me interested deserves an oscar
I have so much respect for DiCaprio since watching Shutter Island. I love Inception too so now he's one of my favourite actors. I guess what made me put off watching his more recent films, is that I hated him in Titanic. But now like I said, love him.
i loved how he called Shutter Island a "twisted romance"- i absolutely love that movie and there are many ways to describe it but that is one that i've never heard anyone say but it fits it perfectly also liked in inception but i didn't think that it was in the league of Shutter nice interview- he is the full package talented and adorable!
i loved this movie. it had such a great concept that people who dont understand it cant grasp. and i knew arthurs face looked familiar ! he played on Angles In The Outfield ! lol
I used to hate him for several years because of the whole pretty boy thing, annoyed at my female classmates in elementary and middle school falling in love with him. i reluctantly watched the departed in 2007, but when I did realized... he's not so bad! I began to discover how he was always used in scorsese's movies and started to watch him more and I now say: forgive me, Leo! I'm one of your biggest fans, now! I will champion your movies for the rest of my life!
Some negative comments about Amanda here....is she not a likeable person? She seems like a likeable woman, and she's attractive to look at. What's the issue?
Are you that dense and naïve that you can't see how fake and stupid she's being. How did you fly through the air? And that last comment about, "loving your hairdo as always", and guess what, the guy is BALD. Come on, she's a moron.
@pinkligers14 yeah, ur right. he was in those kinds of films. He was actually nominated twice for oscars, but he never won. I think he should have won in one of those films or in "Catch me if you can"
there are similiarity to some of his movies in RR he was married with children and his wife die. Shutter Island his about a man who couldn't bare the loss of his wife and kids. Same time period. It's like where one ends the other picks up. Titanic ended with Jack going underwater and Inception waking up on the beach.
Horry are out of your mind? Or perhaps you have the concentration capacity of a dog and therefore respect this person as a "journalist" or "TV personality". If you like this, go watch the Kardashians, but leave CBS News alone. And don't get my reply confused with being a troll, I am just being honest. Don't
@Jmacsexy the problem with him is that he stars in movies that don't set up for an oscar. He usually stars in blockbusters, crime thrillers, the such. He needs to star in something like Titanic again to get an oscar, something with a moving and powerful story.
He looked so annoyed with her throughout the whole thing. When she pointed out she wante to be Wendy, he just looked worn down and like he couldn't wait for that to be over.
"Amanda, love the new 'do, you look great, thanks so much, great job." "Oh, thank you~! Loving yours as always~!" *IS BALD AS FUCK* "Heheh...alright..." And after he complimented her, too! LOL.
@Jmacsexy : totally agree! Leo's such a great actor. I watched Shutter Island and he was brilliant, still didn't saw Inception but I heard and read that he's one more time amazing. He also deserved to be nominated for Revolutinary Road, he was always a good actor, but in his latest movies he's getting better and better, I mean he's close to perfection in his performances... OSCAR ALREADY FOR LEO!
I don't think Leo has ever been in a "normal" romantic movie that has a happy, fairytale ending. It would be interesting to see him star in a movie like that, just to reaffirm his versatility. Most of his recent roles, while excellently portrayed, have all seemed somewhat similar. It would be nice to see the lighter side of Leo again, like in Catch Me if You Can.
@Jmacsexy I know right? I mean, if you look at his body of work, you cannot help but go "WTF"??? THe Aviator was so mindboggling good he should have won an oscar right there. And then again for blood Diamond, and then again for the Departed and Shutter Island. If he does not get one soon I don't know what gives..
Oh my God, this was my same experience regarding Leo. He was such a little boy back int he day, I didn't get what the fuss was all about. But now that he's full grown...hehehe...
@TruthTellers1979 I don't know, I love JGL's dimples. And his hair lol. Plus he speaks french. I don't really know too much about Heath, maybe JGL's personality has a lot to do with me liking him so much.
I also used to dislike him and his movies for that very reason. But then I saw Blood Diamond, and Inception, and realized he is a VERY good actor. Some people are just crazy lol..
Love this movie and Leo, but as a piece of journalism, this segment was abhorrent. No redeeming observation or value-add analysis whatsoever. If lightheartedness and humor was the goal, the story is terrible in that sense as well. Yet they flew this woman out to Beverly Hills for a story that is not even high school level journalism. This is the problem with mega corporations / bureaucracies - fools like her somehow rise to the top and are paid way beyond their actual value. Cmon CBS, you can do better than this...
