I agree Leo should have won a globe this year and a Oscar nomination for best supporting actor...He was incredible in Django unchained, nothing resembles past character he played before
You can he absolutely loves his job and what he does by the way he rambles about it. It's amazing. Most actors have the most dry, nonchalant, and ungrateful answers in interviews like this.
I admire Leo so much 4 allowing himself 2 go so dark. Since he won that oscar nod 4 Whats eating Gilbert Grape he has become my fave. I applaud him 4 his charitable work he gives his own millions to families in africa, endangered species causes, and orphanages he is a real humanitarian love him.
You really have to appreciate how awkward of an interview this is for a white guy playing that particular role. I mean, if Leo says one thing wrong in the interview, he'd be crucified by the media. Pretty brave of him in my opinion.
+Logan Graham (ASiAN Specials) Yeah, but then he was two-fold teenage girl bait, lol. How long during the runtime of *The Man in the Iron Mask* did DiCaprio run around with his shirt off?
“I think everyone can understand… you are product of your heritage and history, and that really gave me the strength and motivation to carry out this artistic interpretation of my history while still clinging to the very roots of who I am. It might not seem so at first glance, but the character that I played and myself as an actor have quite a bit in common and that really helped with my transition.” -- so profound!
I didn't really like di caprio in his early movies, probably cause of all the teenager buzz around his name in the titanic-era, but gradually he matured and started getting realy great roles. With the Departed he sky-rocketed and he should definitely get nominated + take the oscar for that movie. Its a big shame he hasn't won one yet
@Matt Matthews. This would of been about the time he would’ve been filming Wolf Of Wall Street, or just a little after. So yeah he was probably trying to get into character of Jordan Belfort around this time.
He seems to seriously hate interviews, especially these types of clichéd questions (What’s it like to work with other big name actors? Has it been good to be an actor?)
Yeah Ms. Vanessa, I didn't like Leo at first because I thought Hollywood just wanted to ffrwd a golden boy to the top. He absolutely destroyed that role didn't he. He's the man and I loved how he played it and I'm the proudest African you could meet. See you honey
Who the fuck could say quentin tarantino is racist. People is crazy, his work is amazing and his best friends and cooworkers are just people. He always fight against that shit.
I disagree Ep, he wasn't a shoe-in for the Oscar. He definitely murdered the role and Leo is the man no possible doubt about it, he was magnificent, but the cast was a "Candy " store of A-list stars. Every one of them Oscar worthy.. Peace out
quit the bullshit, for once they must do a movie about slavery with the truth and nothing but the truth, like those about holocaust, for the redemption of more than 400 years of suffering,no more entertainment stuff about a serious issue.
