Most of the children who are not making wonderful videos have brown skin and live in abject poverty in failed countries. Unimaginable art and artistry goes utterly to waste in a world that only cares about profits.
ELEVEN years old.... Incredible. The technical skill, touch and feel for the music is astounding, not to mention the memory to reproduce such a complex and long piece from heart, and without a wrong note it seems. Eleven years old?? Holy moly.

I'm struck by how natural, undistorted and relaxed Ms Spangenberger's hands are. And, with such hands, allowing the notes to spring from the strings--rather than pushing them out . . . bullets of iight rising--all the result of relaxation, not force.
I believe there are people out there who simply go to such amazing videos on RU-vid just to dislike what the vast majority have liked. I feel sorry, honestly, for these individuals. There can be much joy in this life and seeing someone so young performing such difficult guitar pieces with such beauty is one of them. If your joy comes from disliking just to dislike something you are to be pitied.
Thank you, Leonora, for these few minutes of beauty. I can't fathom one ever learning to play this well and then executing so perfectly. It's just amazing and a beautiful gift to your listeners.

I've been a fan of Leonora Spangenberger since these videos were released a number of years ago. I've watched the original release of these videos at least 200 times...and I still return to them. It's fairly obvious that this young genius is one of the brightest stars in the classical guitar firmament; she is a delight and inspiration to all who see her. Quite frankly, I was hoping for some more recent material.
Deep respect and compliments! Already more of a musician rather than a talented guitar player. The future of the classical musical is safe in hands like yours...
She has only just started but is already better than me-I am 62 so am depressed and delighted all at the same time! This is inspirational playing though and I am so glad I found this channel-I will play on, inept and slightly arthritic but loving every second there is a guitar in my hands! Nearly forgot to say: BRAVO!!!
This upload has finally made me believe that AGE is certainly just a number😱 Is there anyone out there who is not easily inspired 🤔 I bet those of us who happen to have an under used guitar at home will now believe, although temporarily, that they can do it too😂😂😂

I got linked to this video from a Rick Beato video. Mr. Beato's content is usually some essay on how amazing the chord progression for a Rush or Steely Dan song is. And in the specific video I crossed over from, he was saying how the greatest guitar practitioners are presently alive. Now -- I doubt Mr. Beato knows this young lady exists, and I would suspect he did not have her in mind when he made that claim. Perhaps this is an example of a broken clock being right twice a day, but who cares? Ms. Spangenberger, you are presently near the top of the guitar food-chain, and in another ten or twenty years, you will be at its absolute pinnacle. Please don't get bed-sores from your throne, and keep working at your craft. You are an astonishing young musician, and please do not forget to continue cultivating a sense of "good taste." Long may you thrive.
