A brief high definition look at Schloss Leopoldskron and Frohnburg Palace on my recent trip to Salzburg. The grounds of Leopoldskron were used in some scenes from The Sound of Music. The gazebo was originally located here before being relocated to the grounds of Hellbrunn Palace. Frohnburg Palace was used for the back of the Von Trapp mansion in the movie. It can be seen when the Captain tears down the Nazi flag and when the family are pushing the family car just before the concert.
