One of the leading mobsters in early 20th Century America.
Lepke Buchalter would rise in the criminal underworld by infiltrating industries with his union rackets. Leaving a trail of fear which saw him and his crew terrorise both company bosses and it’s workers.
His rise would also see him become one of the leaders of the notorious gang Murder Incorporated where he would help orchestrate brutal killings for the criminal underworld.
His reign of terror however would come to an end though, after being sought after by both the FBI head J Edgar Hoover and District Attorney Thomas Dewey. Finally being sentenced to death by the electric chair in 1944.
So what was life like for one of history’s most violent mobsters?
