I just discovered this guy and his band about three nights ago. I don't think I've ever witnessed a more energetic drummer, and it's quite apparent that he has world class talent. I am mesmerized by his technique, and he has already become one of my all-time favorites. I'm nearly 64 years old. Anyway, enough of my armchair opinion, I just wanted to add that it is refreshing to see a reaction video where the content creator does not talk over what he/she is reacting to. I truly appreciated that you waited until after Baard was finished to do most of your talking.

He is an awesome drummer and very entertaining live. One of my favorite bands. He has multiple great play through videos.

A lot of people are going to recommend The Sky is Red, but I think you should wait on that one until you’re more acquainted with the band. For the next one I’d go with Baard’s playthroughs of either Rewind or Moon. Either way, I’m looking forward to your reactions. Baard (and the whole band really) just has a unique style that really resonates with me.

Great reaction! I like how you keep it real and don't overreact while providing some simple and insightful analysis. Baard is a monster. Unlike a lot of prog drummers he is able to play something extremely complicated while still making it sounds simple/easily listenable. If you add his incredible sense of dynamic and energy you get one drummer that is unmatched in the Rock/Metal scene. All of his playthroughs are worth checking imo, but "The Sky Is Red" is probably his most famous one. Nighttime Disguise is also incredible Coma has a beat that is nuts His playthroughs with Kickslip are also very fun.

My favourite drummer alongside Danny Carey and Thomas Haake. He has so many great playthroughs to watch. Check out Moon from Lepous’s masterpiece The Congregation. Next level drumming🥳

He has a bunch on here. They are all worth it. The sky is red is amazing. But checkout the “slave” from his band Leprous.

So you should defonately check out.... ALL of his playthroughs 😂 My favourite drummer, the style and feeling he gives to every performance is just 100% Hes special and in my opinion in the conversation for best drummer in the world. I wouldnt say he was but his name should be brought up when talking about the greats 👏

they're incredible. early stuff is quite a lot heavier and they moved more into a pop prog space as they aged, but everything they have created is genuinely brilliant.
