Guys just an FYI the bump steer issue is my fault! TRZ makes it fully adjustable, we just set it up wrong and didn't notice the issue until I was at full rip. It's fixed now!

You should make that passenger seat quick release for some weight savings at the track. As someone else has said, lithium battery will cut a few lbs. Might want to look into stiffer springs for the coils as well to help with the suspension.

The C5 diff is one of the weakest diff's he doesn't need to change to a markwilliams live axle.. he can just go with a Z06/ZR1 unit casing is thicker and is structurally stiffer.

@@tatersgonnatate5650 yeah the scooter definitely has a centrifugal clutch and the little 50cc has one too. It has little pads that are held back by springs until the platter spins fast enough to open them up. Then it grabs the outer bell.

MajorMinecraft At the 10:05 mark, Cletus stated that the car was raising up causing a toe out condition. A race car alignment shop should have known this and adjusted accordingly. Shop screw up.

Next time you align the car, strap down the rear, and lift up the front a little to simulate the loading and unloading of the suspension during acceleration. You'd be amazed at what squatting does to the toe and camber of a car.

Simple doesn’t protect from road debris, simple doesn’t prevent side impacts from causing debris to go flying. I understand Leroy is becoming more and more of a track only car, so it’s an appropriate upgrade, but there’s a reason the original was designed the way it was.

You'll also have more suspension tunablity, but you should really put something over that front subframe to make the bottom flat because what I believe is gonna happen the wind is going to come under the car and go up towards the engine slowing down the car

Hi Cleetus ,its a very exciting racing machine. I wonder if the new engine mounts are the issue for breaking the differential. Because of the harder clutch shock to the drive train. On the other side the vibrations can damage the parts from the Engine Mount. Hopefully the new Diff will work fine. greetings from Germany ;-)

The one thing you guys change that you probably didn't think about which now you should probably run a sway bar if so.... That aluminum brace that you had is more rigid very stiff and chromoly is I'm guessing what you have now to adjust the difference for tubular for strength but at the same time it's not very rigid and flexes a lot.... So it will transmit a lot of sway to the front end if everything is just not right.... Ironically you sacrifice one thing for another thing.... Wish you best and keep making America great

While adding a sway bar may help handling, it will kill weight transfer. Time for a 9" diff. That will also help consistency.

Kyle Baker you would need a better driveshaft ,brakes, tires and it's a AWD I believe so it would have to take a lot more stuff to do,and it may not fit under the hood

Mark Carlyle has been 6.50s st 220mph with the IRS setup. Not that he has the power to run those numbers. Just saying that's really not the problem. It's going to get very tricky trying to run in the 7s consistently and without breaking with the manual trans. He likes that stick shift class so more power to him. Wish him luck.

That might help the 60 foot time. The 4 links are known for planting the tires off the line because they can use engine torque to plant the tires instead of just using the inertia of the sprung mass reacting against the suspension linkage.

@@johnclary729 of course 4 link is better. No question about it but it would take away from what he wants to do. Most of the stuff he runs with the car requires stock type suspension. Plus you add a 4 link it's not Leroy anymore like I said before. Check out Carlyle's vette you'll see just how well these cars can 60ft.

Only because the dale truck and Leroy have built motors with stock Diffs, they Vic doesn’t have a stock diff. Plus fords don’t make torque for shit so they don’t have to worry about breaking stuff on the launches
