Leroy Sibbles, a real column in our legendary musical history, I am one of 3 brothers born to an English Mother & Jamaican Father, sadly my parents are no more but I have my Fathers music as he had a sound system that he built when he arrived in England in 1961. I was the only son who held Jamaican music close to my heart, from my earliest days I was listening to Studio one & watched my Dad drop the bass on his sound & rock away. My Dad used to take me to the record shops to buy his tunes for dances when I was a kid, I’d sit on the speaker box enjoying a pattie listening to what my Dad was buying, those memories will never leave me. I wish long life & health to Mr Sibbles, as music lovers everyone of us have heard a riddim that came from this great man. Blessed holidays to everyone.

Too many Jamaicans are too ignorant to the valuable contributions that this great man has made to reggae music. Most of the familiar classics reggae rhythms that we rock to was created by none other than Mr. Leroy Sibbles all this is coming from a guy who wasn't born when he created most of these classics. A people without knowledge of its past is like a tree without roots. We must celebrate our legends better.
