As a South African, my heart is bursting with pride. No matter what our dear country has gone through and is still going through, it is a sight like this that gives us hope for the youngsters in our beloved country. Well done Leroy!
This young man has it! The technique, the execution, and exuberance- it’s been some years since this vid and I pray he is still dancing and appreciated for his abilities and accomplishments. Bravo Bravo Bravo!
I'm crying, have goosebumps from head to toe. Leroy, you are South African, one of us. Thank you for making me feel proud to say: I am a South African.
An amazing performance by an astonishing young man! Chops to him for choosing something contemporary, although his traditional ballet moves are splendid. I hope he goes on as he has begun, and that he has a career worthy of his talent.
Omg!!!!!😱😱😱😱This song that you are hearing is greek. It called Zorbas and it's also a traditional greek dance.I'm so proud to hear something from my country in a worldwide ballet competition.
Always remember to acknowledge the choreographers. Like screenwriters they tend to be the most underappreciated members of the artistic community. This is a beautiful performance.
Excelente bailarín: joven, muy plástico, talentoso. La coreografía desacertada y despegada totalmente del espíritu de esa tradicional música griega tan bella como viril.
This is definitely the best Dance Performance I have ever seen!!! A totaly harmonised combination of African Soul, Ballett and Sirtaki!!! Absolutely georgeous!!
Wonderful young man, in total control of his own capabilities, Mikis Theodorakis is his inspiration here. Hope to see more of him in the future ...all countries need art, and , goodness, he could end up à diriger le Ballet de France,Opera Garnier, pour faire suite à Noureyv.... quelle merveille.... on a besoin de danseurs comme lui......
beautiful natural movement, you have dance in your soul, with the technique. Believe in yourself, you give yourself well through your movement. God reward your diligence and your heart
Beautiful dancer, beautiful choreography. The choreography reminds me greatly of 'Les Bourgeois' danced by Daniil Simpkin a few years back - also shirt and tie and several similar movements. The two dancers are very different so it is interesting to see the different expressions of the same movements.
That performance was amazing. There was something about it, universal, but in a cultural way. It combined so many cultural references while being all of them and its own thing. If I had to place where in the world that dance was referenced I could say spanish, or russian or french but then he's south african, and I wonder what elements he's brought in there. Beautiful dance and artist.
Wonderful! I really didn't like the choreography, didn't feel it matched the music, but the fact that I still thought he did a great job shows how talented this young man really is!
