Eugen Nizic from @usmellsgood successfully launched his own perfume line. I am finally smelling the three fragrances done by perfumer Antoine Lie and they are wonderful selections, deeply personal and very addictive. I wish you all the best, Eugen.
I am head over heels in love with Belle Ame and had the same reaction you had on first smelling it. Addictive indeed! As good as one of the old Art et la Matiere Guerlains.
I ordered the samples in late November and I've tried them multiple times, wore them and honestly, not a single miss, I like all of them. La Douleur Exquise was my first favorite because of the amazing castoreum that it contains, also the dry down is magic with that Antaeus feel, the rose is amazing too, it was and is right on my alley. Belle Ame is comforting, the easiest to wear out of those three, and a lovely scent overall, but I would not buy it because Musc Des Sables from Les Indemodables does this comforting, fluffy type of scent in a way I appreciate more and is a type of scent I can live without by finding the comforting aspect in other scents that I have. Des Cendres convinced me to go for a full bottle, it's a green, leathery chypre, with some animalic aspects, smoky, woody, really like a church in a forest the way Eugen described it. At first, I thought it was too green and too dry and smoky, but that got me more and more interested and captivated me. Your take is great and it was nice to see you smelling those. Curious what do you think about them now, after four months.
Enjoyed these first impressions. The creations for Les abstraits are some of the best perfumery I’ve ever smelled. Can’t wait to see what else comes from this house.
‘Pain is a passion’. You sir are a poet. I blind bought the rose one. Tried the other two but wasn’t initially taken aback with any passion. It may be time to smell again.
i bought a full bottle of Belle Ame and received decants of Des Cendres and La Douleur Exquise with it almost a year ago. I love Belle Ame. It is a complex scent unlike anything I have ever smelled. It is such an interesting take on iris. It is one of the best ambery scent I own. I also adore the spicy opening (ginger + cardamom). Eugen has greatest in fragrance and thanks to him I discovered (and purchased) quite a few discontinued Guerlain.
@@MemoryFlook my favorite is La Douleur Ex... Beautiful Patch Rose Incense I think. I find it opulent like PoaL and something I would wear 😊... Next the green one... It's fresh cut grass with earthy leathery somewhat No 19 - esque ...Surprisingly least favorite is the orris scent (Belle Ami) ... I haven't tested on skin... I think Des cendres would develop nicely on skin..😊 wish there are 15ml travel vials though 🙊... Thanks for the video. I totally forgot I had these samples for few weeks now 🙈
Episode you recommend BELLE AME, over the Guerlain neroli? I guess I’m looking for a wearable creamy scent . I have scents of wood PAPYRUS IN ACACIA , it’s an Iris, woody , creamy scent. I don’t mind some florals in the buttery irises either.
