This song is nothing short of amazing. Sounds like Les only gets more creative as the years pass. I thought that Primus was strange. This is really odd ball stuff. I mean that all in a good way. Les's lyrics and playing style are unconventional. That is what keeps his music fresh. Thank you posting this. I am going to buy this album now!
also you can pre-convert any ibotenic acid to either muscimol or muscazone, so you don't have to worry about it breaking down in your digestional tract. drying and heating the mushroom (not too hot) will convert the ibotenic acid to muscimol. UV light will convert it to muscazone.
muscimol isn't a toxin.. i feel like les claypool should know this.... though i guess ibotenic acid could be considered a toxin, but you only have to worry about that with improper preparation of the mushroom. of course he did say "juicy bite" so its possible it was just eaten raw by someone who was not very knowledgeable about them
measuring amanitas in grams is completely inaccurate. a fruit in its infancy has more muscimol than an mature fruit, and it weighs MUCH less. i can eat 2 full fruits weighing under a gram (two baby caps covered in veil) or i can eat 1 fruit wieghing 15 grams. guess what? the 2 fruits under a gram will have more than twice as much muscimol as the mature fruit. it is not quite as consistent as psilocybe (as far as dosing goes)
