Saw him at Saenger Theatre in New Orleans on Saturday. I can’t stop listening to his music. The man really knows how to put on a show. The flying frog brigade was amazing too.
Never heard of him until 4 weeks ago, I'm addicted to this now. Holy frickin hell. I was always into the psychedelic bands of the 60's . My ears are in absolute euphoria.. First viewing was at Bonnaroo ,with precipitation and 50 cal. Must have viewed this 15 or so times. Frickin wild and crazy 🤪. A new high level. Pig mask. 😂. F'N LOVE THIS. LES YOU CRAZY MUTHER. ITS LIKE A GOOD TRIP THAT DOESN'T GO BAD ONLY BETTER.
@@josephhaas7636 primus would floor you live. Flying frog brigade is cool, but ler and herb are the nastiest. Basically 3 seasoned performers that are all prodigies. Saw them live one time in Vermont, first big show after the Covid thing Happened, most of the crowd must of overdid the psychadelics, while suddenly thrusting themselves into a crowd, people were falling out left and right, people were leaving on stretchers, it was disturbing. They just keep going relentlessly.
Saw this show in Austin 6-14-23. Hotter than hell. But holy crap did Les and the boys play! I came to see Animals, which was magical, but Precipitation may have been my favorite song of the night. Second was probably “Once in a Lifetime” by Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew!
It was outstanding! But then again, it WAS Les Claypool, so I expected nothing less! I've never waited in a merch line that long in my life, and I go to tons of shows. I got there shortly after the doors opened, got a frosty barley pop, and got through the line and to my seat just in time to watch Neal Francis perform the last song. I thought I was going to have to change my mailing address because the line took so long! If you're going to a show and want some merchandise, drinks, and if it's a general admission show like it was in Detroit, I highly suggest delegating the tasks to different members of your group because there was barely enough time for me to complete all of those tasks before the Frog Brigade started jamming. I was, however, fortunate enough to find a great seat right where I wanted to sit and enjoyed the entire show with a smile on my face the whole time!
Big thanks to BigDan for this video. Not able to venture to a show for reasons that are my own damn fault.. Anything Les does is golden and he just keeps getting better with all the time. Keep these coming... PeaceOrElse
Guitarist is fuckin sick. Is it still Todd Huth? Or Enor? Whoever, he is a fucking machine. Love that first Frogs album with Hendershot and Runnin the Gauntlet. Killer solos every time.
