He was a good human being before anything. A very masculine, humanist and family man. Who loved women, cars and dogs. He knew how to captivate women with his eyes. Even that I am not gay. I know he was a God gifted guy. Today's men with their confuse masculinity syndrome should learn more from him. He was a true and honest French man with a true democratic nationalist and patriotic political sense and values for his country and people. Who really knew the dangers of the International Communism and its inventors. Who was not fooled by today's evil pro Communist media and their deceiving, evil, false and wrong family, gender and political orientation and sexual perversions of the masses. I doubt, again there will be one just like him. RIP. Frenchman.
@@repliques-cultes: Totally agree. I never cared nor agreed with Jane's politics; however, she unwillingly points out an extremely important fact -- President L.B. Johnson should never have committed man power & money in Vietnam after the French were humiliated & forced to leave. Delon served in the navy in Vietnam (formerly French Indo-China). Secretary of Defense Robert MacNamara fooled LBJ into thinking we can win. We didn't win there nor in Afghanistan nor anywhere else. The US is responsible for dethroning the Shah of Iran who was replaced with a religious fanatic & dictator. American foreign policy never takes the interests of a country's inhabitants into account in its political ambitions. That's why we lose allies, destroy people's lives & solve everything by throwing money at it with favorable trade policies & funds. As a French patriot, were you aware of Delon's friendship with the LePins (father & daughter)? Delon idolized de Gaulle because everyone at that time in French history did. Delon's racist, far-right beliefs were in keeping with the man he was & the times he grew up in. I saw a French interview done in his home after his last health crisis with a journalist, who was greatly criticized for doing a DEEP DIVE -- which the French aren't used to nor like. He was asked tough questions which he answered succinctly & decisively illustrating that he had evolved into a more thoughtful, political centrist who believed in human rights for all -- not just white French people born in France. I've been his fan for 55 yrs. & saw every movie, TV show & 1 stage play with his daughter. I've watched every interview (French; English), know everything about him & admire him as a sex symbol, great cinematic presence & iconoclastic legend without equal, whose performances touched many globally & inspired several generations of actors. Do your research and you'll find that France has a very, very long history of racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Protestanism, etc. In spite of Jane's activism, I think she's a great actress worthy of all of her awards & accolades. I'm very impressed by her business acumen as a fitness video pioneer, who made a fortune. Alain Delon -- charisma, sensuality, handsome looks personified -- landed in a profession that used his obvious looks & masculine physique in films as an actor/director, producer/screenwriter becoming an internationally celebrated legend & fashion icon. His advisors shrewdly invested his money in cigarettes, cognac, art, etc. He was the wealthiest non-Ametican actor in the world. His "Delon Clause" is named for him taking a percentage of a film's gross instead of a salary. Is it any wonder that his children are fighting over their inheritance?
