Review is spot on, except in my case, the clip is perfect -- can't even feel it when I bear down. The MK3 has become one of my favorite EDCs. Les is running his Magnacut at 63 hrc.

I absolutely love Les George's stuff!!! I bought his trench knife that he designed and then collaborated with and released with Kershaw. Almost the same knife, just different materials and with Kershaw. My knife is the black version.

My “big 3” in this price/quality range is Demko, Les George, and McNees. High-end, dope designs, but you can easily use them daily.

I really like US made knives, but if I want to buy a 500$ knife, it wil kost me 50$ shipping and 150 to 200$ customfees. Sometimes I have to decide, is it worth that amount? 9:49

I keep hearing the term "midtech" used. What does that mean?

Generally (and this may change depending on who you talk to), small batch production with some hand work, some CNC work.

It could also mean that part of the knife (generally the handle materials and hardware) were outsourced, and then assembled by the maker, and part of the knife (typically the blade) was done by hand by the maker. From what I understand, Midtech can mean several variations of “part of this was done this way, and part of it was done that way.”

Phosphor Bronze Washers are the premium choice of folding knives. Rick Hinderer is an idiot. His stories sell knives. People believe him. Raw titanium lockfaces are what you want in a framelock. Look what happened to ZT with the steel insert. Problems.

If sure it's a fine knife but I have never understood the appeal of thumbdiscs. They look cheap and hideous and seem structurally less substantial than thumbstuds.
