In the book they are portrayed as much darker, abusive to Cosette, low lifes, searching for quick ways to earn money, such as employing tricks at their restaurant & demanding money from Eponine & take care only for their daughters while their sons must care for themselves
@@gregorbaby4269 I mean, Madame Thenardier is still abusive to Cosette in the musical and they're still low lifes, but it's much less blatant in the musical.
Brilliant performance! You could see how much effort everyone was putting in. An enjoyable watch. I also found very useful because I am auditioning for the role of Madame Thenardier in a show of different musical theatre songs in a few days. I was only given the audition piece today, so I'm searching the web for inspiration!
@D.Laney We've already done the performance (I did get the role of Madame Thenardier 🙂) but that is great advice and I will make sure to use it if I ever do a similar kind of performance. Thanks! :)
Ashley Artus for me is the most researched and best Thenardier.....hes a better actor. This NEW LES MISERABLES Means that all new Thenardiers are based on ARTUS. This is good. Ashley, Alun, Barry, the best hands down.
Ashley Artus the best Thenardier. The best actor and the most clever. Original. I saw Ashley in Tales from the crypt. HBO on American TV with Alun Armstrong. It should have been him and Jenny Galloway in the movie. That would be clever. Makeup and wigs could have made them the same age. why wasnt jenny in the movie? or Alun Armstrong?
