thats why we should all take a moment and remind us of the fact that slash isnt just a guitar player but a musician with an ear and comprehention for the music

Why yes, I wonder if he can play (imitate) a lot of artists and when he plays a certain song he choses who he wants to play ??? . Because I hear him but he's not off key. and he is strumming very light handed almost as if he weren't playing - Which I really enjoyed - My Dad played a Banjo with a friend who played guitar - and the funny thing was his friend could play his Banjo and he could play his friends Guitar really good. And to show we are never satisfied My Dad would have loved to play the Banjo like that and is friend wanted to play like my Dad. I wanted my Dad to teach me - He didn't realize that you can teach me with plastic thread- He was afraid I wouldn't last with the steel thread so he didn't want to hurt me - he couldn't stand to see me in pain - I couldn't tell him about my pierced ears and when I broke my arm he couldn't make eye contact with me . He was a great Dad - We had records of Les Paul and Mary Ford - and Eddie Peabody (a great banjo player)
Man, Slash is pretty out of it here :/ ... He would be fine jamming with buddies, but you have to show some level of professionalism, especially as a guest musician.
Was his hand sweating - he kept wiping his hand on his pants - I don't think he was having problems himself - I thing Les Paul and him are friends - He grew up meeting lots of famous musicians - His mom sewed costumes for record covers .and probably did the photography - the one that Slash talked about was the famous Ring Starr cover it has a Robot and Ringo behind it. People Like Ring Star were in and out of his home constantly - ( and we thought someone drew that picture of got it from an old poster of a movies from the 50's ) It was Ring Starr's Goodnight Vienna - But getting back to the guitar - I was thinking that maybe the strings were oiled - and maybe oiled to much
Steve Vai was the only player that night who actually played “with” Les instead of doing what Slash was doing. 20 years later when I ran into him, he still commented on how strange that show was when I Mentioned Slash.
disagree = he was having problems with his guitar -- but he was correcting the problems as he was playing the other guy that was singing and playing was way off - Slash was dealing with problems with the Guitar - Or just playing around -I wonder if they oil the strings - those are steel strings - he either was sweating or their was too much of something on the strings - Slash kept wiping his hand on his leg - I wonder also if Les gave him that guitar and he wanted to mess around with it - He was probably playing around to get it to be like his other guitars
