Nice work! The only thing I would not have copied from the plans is the neck heel. I make the neck heel the width of the neck and several inches longer. Again, beautiful guitar!

ARTUR MIHALAS It takes me maybe a 6 weeks to a month, not including aging the woods, 15 years. One small bit of criticism. I prefer not to do the binding dots until after the fret board has been radiused, so they will be on right center lengthwise. This next bit is purely from a playability standpoint. I prefer to radius deeper on the bass side. I spent 43 years in the retail & resale business, and about 35 years ago started wondering why does my Melodymaker play better than the Les Paul, and one 1962 ES 335 play better than the other 1962 ES335? That was mostly why, I could get that action lower. The bass side of the FB is sanded down an extra .025"--.035", because the bass stings vibrate more than the treble strings. The necks were also slightly asymmetrical compared to other necks. Looks like a wonderful instrument my man! Love the inlay work!

Guitar players like Jimmy Page. Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour, not to mention many, many other studio musicians love and prefer Gibson over anything else (except bespoke guitars). Why do you sday giuitar players love to hate Gibson???

David Kover Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top loved hefty guitars too a long time, that ended, check out his interviews on this, the electronics give the sound not the wood as the guitar companies would try so hard to have you believe and still do, shame on them, the wood does give the sound on acoustics, some will swear they can hear the difference in wood sound on electrics but they can not from a blind listening test.

Jyme Bale I dont like heavy guitars for some magical sound quality. I like them cause I my self am heavy. And light guitars feel chinsy in my hands.

David Kover I do understand what your saying, when I was playing drums every kit I owned the individual drums were always so heavy, stripped all hard ware from one one time and the shell was still heavy and sounded great, it was a maple shell, nine ply, another was mahogany and a bit lighter, nine ply, birch and other great drum woods and why the kits all sounded so great but electric guitars are not the same wood wise; I'm having to make my self thicker shoulder straps as I move around so much when I play to move the weight of the guitar around and the audience thinks I'm trying to entertain them, HELL NO, I don't have to still and have the room all the time, the guys in the band know what i'm doin and get a giggle. I'm the only one with an FM system, the others don't want to put out the money but I was a pro drummer and had the expensive type in ear monitors and a great Sure FM mic that I wore on my head to sing with.

ARTUR MIHALAS it could've said "time lapse" or something. the way i see it this video could've gone two ways: either it was gonna be a time lapse or it was going to be a short instructional lecture. i've seen plenty of the later even if in reality it took much longer to finish the project, and very few of the former. ever watched any cooking show? nothing personal man but this isn't really a "how to" it's more like a "watch me do"

Дома без особого инструмента) Но я бы с удовольствием мастерскую открыл. Не знал, что это дело так затягивает. Люблю работать с деревом. После уроков труда 13 лет назад даже не прикасался к ручной работе по дереву. Хочется делать эксклюзивные и качественные гитары по всем параметрам. Так как сейчас очень много китайского ширпотреба которые штампуют как горячие пирожки )) Сейчас начинаю делать ещё 5 инструментов уже по своим эскизам.. Буду выкладывать видео самого процесса по чуть-чуть сюда)))

Иногда пары слов / строк от незнакомого человека может быть достаточно для того чтобы всё в жизни изменить и повернуть в другую сторону) Спасибо Да эти видео я смотрел. Честно ощущение от его процесса работы не оч. как-то он делает всё быстро, в спешке, от чего создаётся впечатление небрежного обращения. Но это сугубо личное впечатление, которое вполне возможно не имеет никакого отношение к реальному положению вещей)

Artur Mihalas Ну ты же жил и дышал своей гитарой в процессе, она стала как живое существо, неотъемлемая часть тебя, а у него всё поставлено на поток, в принципе. Пусть он не вкладывает всю душу в каждую гитару, но дело своё любит... Да по-другому и быть не может, без любви к инструменту за гитары не берутся, я думаю) Ну и смело просит 2000 фунтов за гитару и работы, видать, хватает. В любом случае лучше, чем мексиканский фендер)))))) Страничку ВК давно удалил из-за войны грёбаной, у нас у многих были проблемы по идеологическим мотивам блять (живу на востоке Украины), но за твоим каналом буду следить обязательно.

How did you make the cutouts in the fretboard for the inlays? The fit looks perfect. Also, after the routing on the top was done how did you get the contouring so smooth? How deep is the channel for the binding? Amazing work there Arthur..

You have a few choices depending on your comfort with various tools. If you are not a master wood worker I would suggest hand sanding starting with 80 or 120 grit and moving up to higher grits being sure to remove scratches (takes forever, but is the simplest to perform without messing up the shape, however the potential for leaving scratches under your finish are the highest with this method). If you are comfortable with an electric sander you could use that (second fastest method but if you are not already very comfortable with them you can mess up the curvature slightly or leave behind scratches you don't quite see). If you are a master hand crafted wood worker, there are various styles of detailing planes that can be used (this is fastest and provides the cleanest finish but the hardest to do by a long shot, really easy to mess the whole thing up this way)
