I spent around 10 hours making this video. Collecting all the footage, compiling the stories into full clips, organizing the clips chronologically, then reviewing all of the clips while trying to keep a level head. There was so much more I wanted to say, and DID say in the first take, but my memory card ran out of space at the last minute so I re-filmed the entire reaction and left out an important remark that I wanted to close with. What I wanted to include was (and I actually point this out in Greenteck's WMTDG episode) that these guys are some of the best and most famous dancers in the world, and violence and hatred is not the right answer to solving problems, especially when you are champions. When you are a champion you have a responsibility to be the best role model possible to your fans and peers. These guys should assume the responsibility to be better role models for the up-comers, and I would hope that some of them address the situation and send a positive message to all of us letting the people know that this isn't the right way to deal with your problems. I'm glad to see this clip has already started a dialogue, that was the whole point. That being said this clip already has mad comments and hasn't even premiered yet. Thanks for watching ya'll and let me know what you think about what I just stated, I'm open to having a conversation :]
Thank you so much! Larry rocks so thanks for sharing. Also Laurent came in after Larry and diplomatically apologized to the host and said he was hurt by the treatment from this judge. After all this Laurent also posted on IG...thanks to Japan. I just love them.
Yo he probably deserves it, but who is Larry to take it upon himself to do so? Greenteck spreads bad vibes, but les twins cause drama everywhere they go. Juste Debout was laughable. They got smoked and instead of taking the L like men, they called out the whole organization, announcing a boycott. They are neither decent people nor do they represent the whole dancer‘s culture. They shoud try humility for once geez
@Robbin Banks Bullshit on your whole comment . If they lose, they acknowledge it, give props to the other opponent and work harder next time. Larry even said that the other team deserved the win and he had no problems with it. The problem is with a judge who doesn't watch the performance of one team, multiple times! And then has the nerve to vote...
Ive been in the same school as greenteck and he wasnt like that ... The pride and the popularity made him like that ... Thats sad and yes he deserves it from someone that have known him for a long time
Nickerson Jean is teck really gangsta? I've heard ppl say teck says he's from some gang and straight from the hood. He gets it poppin every chance he gets....is any of that shit true???? I hope you see this and respond bro, plz.
@@HKsNoble45 yeah like kanada had a gang banging culture green need that machoism approval thats why he joined zulu king pouring water to opponent ? unless you can back that shit up somebody will come after you and bitch slap the shit ouf of that fake ass gangsta mullet that you have
With "kids" he means that he values the new generations of dancers. He acknowledges their value and the evolution of dance in general. Mainly because Les twins changed a whole dance style 💀
Yep. Greenteck disrespects dance and dancers. Greenteck has done this countless times now. He did it to Waydi and Wizzard and tons of people. He is a terrible judge. He's an embarrassment. He talks about being hard and street and hood, so Larry face checked him. He wasn't so hard anymore after that.
Apologia5 yeah it looked like he wanted to retaliate. Not sure if he actually would have, but from the angle recorded it appeared like he got caught off guard and wanted to strike back.
LOLLLL
i am japanese when i watched this video i was so sorry for larry because most of the crowd didn't understand what he was saying and what was going on, and they laughed after larry's speech. even the MC didn't understand that and he tried to behave like it's funny while larry seriously insisted his validity.
Pas faux XD j'aurais aimé voir Larry en gentilhomme avec un mousquet et un chapeau à plume ! Mais bon un une bonne grosse baffe c'est bien aussi pour cet imbécile !
When Larry said: "i care abt kids, abt my job", i think he talk abt his situation: he got a kid (a lil girl). Do not forget the fact that he's french, and that he's english is not perfect. Second, greenteck speak french as well, but Larrt spoke english to let all ppl understand 🤷🏾♀️.
Aah okay, I didn't know that detail, but still I admit that It's funny, he's still sort of implying that he's better than green for these random values. No disrespect intended, just my perspective at the moment.
Great comment Andjie and totally agree. I'm French Canadian and it's true, when Larry expresses himself in english it's quite an experience. (lol...but so cute!) I do believe when he said kids, he meant kid (his daughter) because that's exactly the kind of mistakes he does. I've notice that Laurent is better. But I admire them both to have been able to learn it even if it's not perfect.
Laurent apparently also held a small speech about the incident at the event after it happened, he talked in french and had a translator for the japanese crowd present, this is the rough translation from another youtube user (@a.z.u.sa IGTV) that speaks french: "When you're a judge and you have a job to do, whether you like me or not, you have to watch me dance ... and I gave everything even with my broken hand, and the Greenteck jury did not dare to look at me once, which displeased me, I'm sorry for the action that happened next ... I'm a professional dancer, an artist, an actor, a singer, a producer, but I'm human too, and no matter who is in the room, we're all dancers, we're all artists and we deserve to be watched, It hurts me, and I apologize again" Here is the original speech: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WrZgnHIyKTQ.html at about 28:42 mins. It was smart for Lau to clear things up and also apologize (and have it translated to japanese), I guess it's also a bit of damage control, he also "acted" the part. While getting physical is not the most mature thing to do (and I think it's obvious that Les Twins aren't the most mature dancers out there), maybe causing such an incident is what is necessary to shine some light on problems such as Greenteck not watching dancers as a paid judge and casting a vote against Les Twins out of principle. It's clearly unprofessional, and something should probably be done about it. Dancers pour their heart and soul into their craft and these events, sharing with us their art and mastery. I believe they really deserve good/fair/dedicated judges and decent event-hosters.
Enigmalicious I agree with everything you said but I don't think Les Twins are immature dancers. They get shitted on by so many people for being who they are and being so great at their craft it's despicable. I don't agree with putting hands on anyone but everyone reaches their breaking point and seeing how far back their history goes with greenteck I'm not surprised honestly.
Angelique being dance icons is very different than being a "celebrity." In the world of dance people are literally in your face in person trying to knock you off your throne and most will do whatever they can to make a mockery of those they're battling against. The worst celebrities have to deal with are trolls online which isn't anything honestly.
Talking about being professional ? Be respectful to everyone around you. There was no retreating on Les Twins part. Larry was right as Geeentech always ignored Les Twins while sitting in his arse as judge. EVERY DANCER GIVE THEIR BLOOD AND SWEAT FOR THEIR ART. YOU DONT DISRESPECT ART OR ARTISTS. DONT LIKE THEM ? DONT PARTICIPATE. SLAPOING ISNT ETHICAL ? SO DOES IGNORING AND SHORTY GREENTECH HAS BEEN CALLING THIS ON HIM FOR A WHILE.
Angelique getting reamed by a director is not the same thing, that's like getting yelled at by a boss at work it happens in every industry. Dance is not the same thing because you're being judged by your peers and everyone in attendance to see you that are less than 10 feet way. And yes I've seen people literally take swings at both of them trying to do harm because most of the time when they dance it's around everyday people they're a lot more interactive and people are usually within arms length of them most of the time it's not even close to the same thing, look at any of their battles or workshops.
He will continue to be disrespectful because he too has been given the platform to disrespect what they are doing. Every comment says this is what he does therefore he needs to be removed as a judge if he can't keep his personal feelings in check regardless of who is performing.
If you ask me.. Larry HAD to be the person to do it. He was the only person who if somebody polled Greenteck and Larry, who's the better dancer? Unanimous for Larry. UNANIMOUS Larry has the popularity and pedastal.. he needed to be the big giant to humble Greenteck's arrogant nature. Someone was going to do it to Greenteck eventually... But I'm glad it was Larry. You may call it childish it's true.. But this is a competitive scene. Imagine if a judge pulled this at a underground UK krump competition? People would've really gotten hurt for the same shit. I don't see it as a problem, because they didn't use it as an excuse as to why they lost not once. They specified Greenteck and only Greenteck.
"But this is a competitive scene" same guy would 100% say that greenteck is a fucking idiot if he would do it. Go away with your double standards you fucking imbecile
of course i m gonna call him a idiot cuz i m sure he will do it to a person that didn t effect or disrespect him but here he is the one who was being disrespectful first he deserve it green disrespect people and continue to do it thinking it s alright green had one job to do which he got payed for but he didn t respect the dancers nor the event u kinda expect that reaction from les twins since they are so big if u were that big u will not let nobody disrespect u
@@hezonJArecide That was a WONDERFUL example of what a 'Strawman Argument' is. Try to argue without being fallacious next time. It was a nice attempt tho.👍
Thanks for your efforts! To be honest, Les Twins are well known for their kindness, big hearts, and being humble. They’ve always been fair, supportive, and respectful to everyone. They cheer up everybody wherever they go, which is why people love them so much. And yeah .. Greentech got served what he should have gotten long ago and exactly what he deserved.
...and Les Twins are known for being especially attentive, patient and kind to children and infants. I bet Larry has actually noticed Greenteck’s behavior around kids. The slap didn’t happen outside of a long history with Greenteck. It was out of years of frustration with Greenteck’s rotten attitude towards many people.
The slap was fine, at least he wasn't punched and seriously injured. It should send a message out to dance competitions not to let Greenteck judge again.
your partner should slap you often to justify violence, violence is not justified in any area of life and less when you are supposed to be an example for the people who follow you.
@@marcosgimenez2369 dude no one is saying violence is a way to solve conflicts, have you ever seen Larry doing such a thing before, i don't think so, he went against rude dancers but he always used dance to settle things... in this case i'm sorry but we are all human being and at some point we reach our limits, this guy has been way too disrespectful towards real, talented dancers, and Dance itself many times... When words, dance skills don't work on him, how would you expect people who love dancing to react in front of such behaviors from a guy who supposed to be a dancer/judge... that dude needed that slap to set his mind straight, be professional put your personal grudge aside, he needs to stop being a hater showing how immature he is... he ain't no kid
@@marcosgimenez2369 By the way, getting a slap by a partner or whatever happens a lot and trust me it feels great, when you know it's for your sake.... slapping someone doesn't necessarily means you hate the person, most of the time it's because you need that person to think about what he/she has done wrong, you want the person to get back on track simple as that... Larry is a dude, that greenteck guy is a dude too, so why he just slapped him instead of a good punch on the face... i think we do agree that would be a different deal right.
Violence isn't the answer, but Greenteck needed to be checked regardless. His arrogance will eventually get his ahh kicked. He tries to act hard, when in reality he is anything but. If he disrespected a Memphis Jooker like he does all these other folks the the whole city would be on his ahh. I hope Greenteck is humbled for this and comes back with more respect for other dancers.
@Angelique not really, I don't prefer Les Twins over Greenteck stylistically. It's just that Greenteck has been asking to get knocked down a peg for awhile now. The biggest problem with physical altercations is escalation and vengeance, because sometimes that crap keeps dragging out.
Violence is not YOUR answer. And Larry was not being violent. He confronted a hater who was being blatantly and continuously disrespectful. Where we come from you check a mf who keeps trying to pull your card. We understand this which is why we not tripping. It's why I rock with them. We connect on that level. This aint Save The Last Dance. This is called Save Your Ass From Getting Smacked. Greenteck clearly was unconcerned.
If Greentech ignores my brother and me dancing when you suppose to observe both sides and only observing the Asian dancers Rush Ball, then vote against us when the match is over? I would slap him with barrages of slaps. Leave Les Twins alone that slap was necessary. People like Greentech should not be a judge anywhere he goes because he breathes envy, and envy ruins dance battles or any event that is not related to dancing like a dunk contest. So, there are Greentechs everywhere on this planet that does not deserve to judge.
@@wheresmyrooptoff4056 You are right! At that moment If I saw Greentech as a judge who supposes to observe both dance squads and just observing one side, you trying to tell me if you were a dancer who is passionate about your craft competing for the highest award and Greentech ignores your side, that would not bother you? I call that a hypocrite for not being real with yourself knowing one of the judges who hate anyone who is better than him. I'm not a good person at that moment I will smack him to the next day. But you are clearly not in a position to judge me on my character which you know nothing about. You, you are a hater towards those who speak the truth. So hate on.
@@0SpaceCadet0 the accent gives off a gentle perspective to any situation. For example I can see why he wasn't taken seriously until he popped buddy 💀💀💀
Les Twins are naturally funny! ❤ them and they are so humble and they definitely put in the "work," so the disrespect by "greenteck" was really unacceptable!
Greenteck is probably the most naturally gifted dancer out there and he’s a legend now. That might be one of the reasons explaining his arrogance, but it’s unacceptable to act that way as a judge. Judge has a role to fairly judge between dancers regardless of one’s biases. Looks like Greenteck hasn’t grown much as a character. He’s still a kid
Greentek isn’t untouchable, you can’t walk through life acting the way he does and expect to come out unscathed. Hopefully he takes a good look in the mirror and reflects on his actions in the past. Larry shouldn’t have smacked him, however he’s a man of passion and figuratively speaking, greentek slapped him in the face by not watching he and his brothers performance. Let’s see how he reacts when judges start looking away during his sets and giving him an automatic loss... I assure you he’d be furious and start throwing water.
@@Ninja-iw5zp non il a été d'accord avec lui parce que laurent n'a pas voulut aucune bagarre avec greenteck il a même pas connais que larry vas le gifler il a excuser après sur la story il a dit merci a diablo de stoper ce fight
for everyone saying they should’ve talked it out or battled or something, considering the fact that greenteck absolutely refused to even look at them, i really doubt he’d be open to conversation and/or battling would just turn gnarly. he holds too much unjustified hate for these guys to have a decently respectful battle. just how i see it
About Laurent, when he talked abt "the guy from the hood he was who will come back", you need to know that Les Twins are from a suburb called Sarcelles, which is like the Bronx but in France. So, when dance can't resolve your issues, you need to fight for the respect you deserve. In France, especially in the dance comunity there a respect/disrespect thing. We need to respect each other. If you don't respect people, you have to face the consequences: dance call out or verbal/physical fights. For example, when bboy Junior was pushed on stage by Tight Eyez, ppl from all over France were sooooo ready to kick his ass. They asked him to apologize to Junior asap or face the consequences on the next time he will come to France. Something he did. I don't like violence, and i think we can resolve things by talking or dancing. I like Greenteck dance but not the human anymore, i'm feeling like he's doing a lot of drama and it's really annoying. 🤦🏾♀️ It was a question of time before someone slaps him... 🤷🏾♀️
They weren't in France or in the hood though. And just because that's how the culture is for them and how they grew up, that doesn't mean it's okay to act upon it and physically hit someone just because they didn't watch your dance.
@@Apologia5 So you saying if you was up there giving all you got dancing and a judge personally not watching you on purpose because they got hatred toward you and being doing this for years to you, you would just say okay right? When human being get push and push they will get fed up. In under ground battles there isn't rules. You either get respect or take it. Greenprick is a bully and the bully got what he deserved. I don't care what you say or how you try to justify it. Was it ok when greenprick threw water or other dancers? Was it okay for him to ignore dancers while they dance and you are a judge? NO! Would you let a bully keep bullying you or anyone you love? And plus Les Twins wasn't even suppose to be in the finals they went there to support their crew members and the night before they won a battle and got into the finals. They even said this and they admit the other team deserved the win but the fact greenprick wasn't watching them while they was dancing then going to vote without even watching is WRONG and UNFAIR....................... PERIODT! Yes celebs do deal with hating ass people but trust and believe when someone just keep pushing your buttons over and over and their thinking they is the shit and nobody won't do nothing about it, someone will I BET YOU THAT.
Les Twins are strong. They work out every day. During the first shut down in France, after his regular workouts, Laurent was building up his boxing muscles, especially back muscles, but he stopped when too much muscle mass began to rob him of his flexibility. Laurent has talked about being beaten up constantly in the neighborhood where he grew up and how he had to figure out how to deal with it.
So I'm tryin to say this without sounding like a LT dickrider. But I think the OP of this video said in another video, LT was one of the contributing forces on the frontlines to making dance so popular. Not the sole reason but a good factor in showin the coolness of havin a great musicality. Before I stumbled on them I never even heard of musicality, now I cant hear music without breaking it down in sections and popping to them. What I'm saying is they earned their dues in a lot of ways as did MANY of other dancers that spent YEARS honing and perfecting their craft and skills. It's an affront to be that driven, that dedicated and then be on a stage ignored by those you entrust an honest critique from. Was larry right in the slap? Look I'm from Inglewood, CA where that's the least of ya worries so I'm not one to say. But if a grown man has the audacity to disrespect another grown man so heinously he should also be prepared for whatever blowback that entails. My opinion but I'm just a voice in the sea of comments on the internet dont mind me
Bro it's literally EVERY SINGLE EVENT where greenteck is judging Les Twins that he's not watching, shaking his head, making HUSHHH gestures to the crowd not to go off and so on, he needs to get lost.
@@camillewilliams7075 Who Greenteck??? Yeah we know!!!! This is the exact vine he givea to everyone. I hope you didn't start ceying about a 3 year old comment tho. Boohoo
Larry spoke on this at the Chicago workshop and didn't encourage others to react in this way. I've seen them at several workshops and their interaction with the dancers who have come to participate. I've seen their encouragement and praise with those dancers, giving them the opportunity to show their skills in the cyphers. Even the newer non-dancers learn something. I love the way they share their art and musicality. I have also watched them judging Revolution, the Canadian dance competition which is currently taping their second season. Their comments to the competitors, of all genres, is thoughtful and constructive. I suppose that is my idea of "judging" a competition of this sort. To pay attention and watch the dancers, regardless of your personal preference, and remain objective. Not an easy thing to do in a competition such as this that has so many aspects to it besides just athletic ability - such as who can run the fastest, jump the farthest, etc. Larry can be very protective of Lau. Do I condone his slapping Greenteck? In a nutshell, no. But I can't say the guy didn't deserve it observing his behaviour at various events. And, I don't think he should be judging.
Larry is a darling and he don’t stand for bulls**t. Love you for that Larry, stand up to what you and Laurent have perfected with love and dedication.Greenteck is disrespectful and he deserved that beautiful decipline.Nuff respect Larry 💕❤️💛💚 And Les Twins are the better men so it’s all good.💕
It's been years of garbage from Greentek. In the beginning it was kinda hot- because it was the hype. But it wore of years ago. I thought Waydi was gonna give it to him. I'm glad somebody checked his ego- but it never should have had to happen. Everyone who gassed Green up over the years is half the problem. He was coddled.
This just never gets old XDDDDD and Larry's whole rant and his inability to say greenteck's name properly out of rage just never stops being funny!! Also props to all the edits of Larry's slap.
Cant wait for the what makes this dancer great for les twins.an they got so many fans they dnt need red bull im happy they did it so that red bull will bring better judges
These guys #LeTwins are not auditioning they are the bust in the business to ignore them is a heavy insult!!! The judge is lucky he didn’t get a #LeTwin slap from both sides of his face
Idk why the les twins would take part in dance competitions tho .. they the fucking best dancers in the world, they understand dancing, choreography to be honest... there are good dancers Buh these guys are different that’s my opinion
Bruh fuck the beef he should just stop judging. Nobody cares about his opinion. If the doesn't watch all performances but still judges them then his opinion ain't worth shit.
@Angelique Nah, they can be immature and give undeserved disrespect, but greenteck is a whole league above them in terms of disrespect. I've never seen the twins be the first one to disrespect their opponent.
@Angelique i remember when i ran into you in the comments of a previous video about les twins and you somehow tried to act like you were a les twins fan bruh what??? you're literally going around these comments making these same psychopathic conclusions about people's comments which don't indicate at all what you are insinuating
If the video title had only said ''One of Les Twins slapped Greenteck!!'' I would have said ''it was Larry!!!'' without needing to see the video! :-D Because Larry has NO chill and if you disrespect him OR his brother, he'll disrespect back! He'll do it by dancing or physically...
he deserved it should not be judging people if already know their is anamosity there red bull should step up they are just as bad as greentech for allowing him to judge knowing people have had trouble from him in the past well done les twins you will always be winners in my eyes s
If Greentek did his job and put his feelings aside, he wouldnt of gotten slapped in the first place, especially since this isnt his first time ignoring Les Twins while they dance, maybe that will teach him some damn respect. Larry shouldnt be putting hands on people but in my soul/spirit i cant be mad at Larry for it lol
Greenteck said to Larry to meet him outside.... never showed up..... but my point is not about Larry being right or wrong... it is about what Laurent said after: even if is condemn this kind of behavior, he realized that Larry acted like he did out of caring and protecting his brother... wham, slap.... without thinking... and Lau was grateful for that and repeat how much he love his brother... so, for me.... it is not the act as much as the emotion and intention behind it.... not an ego thing but a brother's thing.... for me it gives another perspective of the "slap" affair....make sense....
Yeah i saw his dance battle with Waydi and Waydi almost hit him🤣🤣🤣 Edit : Hey everyone in this comment agree if MR. FANTASTIC become a Judge in RED BULL😁😁😁 and im just a watcher not stand for both side🤣🤣🤣 Good Artist and Dancer will use their attitude and intellect to solve a problem😎

Les Twins are not out of line as dance professionals they take dancing and judging seriously, as a dancer and they are judges on their sevond season of RevolutionTV filming in Quebec so how can you judge someone if you aren't going to be impartial and honest. The guy might as well of stayed at home if he's going to waste Redbull's money paying to do a job, when he clearly has a chip on his shoulder and has no intension of watching either twin dance in Any competition he's judging in. I agree with Larry and Lau, what's the point of keep hiring the guy to do a job if he refuses to watch them and has no intension of voting for them? How is that fair?
That probably pissed him off even more. He's from Canada, he hates Les Twins, and they are judges for a Canadian Dance show. He's been in his feelings for some time now.
@@chanidfarr551 No, he's still bitter that he lost a dance competition to them previously, so he was being petty when he had to judge them. He needed to grow up! Payback is not a b!tch, karma is, he better watch out!
Dude Robert you had way to much fun doing this. With that grin the whole video. You had me dying. Yeah it's about time somebody checked his ass. Maybe he'll fly right now but I doubt it.
Thanks for your commentary. This event was definitely news that many wanted to know more about. Why we were all so interested doesn’t matter when it comes to what makes headlines. I agree that we should be somewhat ashamed of ourselves if we found some relief of our own in Larry’s slap. First of all, Larry shouldn’t have put himself in a position to have assault charges pressed against him no matter how much satisfaction he and many fans gained from seeing Greenteck made painfully aware that he has crossed the line far too many times and should have been disqualified from judging some time ago. Looking back over the last couple of years in hip hop competitions, I think the fault lies with the promoters for intentionally structuring controversy to entice audiences to attend. The battle format is getting to be a bit stale and televised dance shows are promoting more eclectic styles which are catching on with the general public. So the promoters are stirring up issues of hip hop pedigrees and hip hop purity which really don’t matter anymore until someone loses their temper. Les Twins are more interesting than the hip hop purists. They’ve already won the big picture contest. Now the promoters are fine with finding judges to take them down in order to gain some audience interest. Les Twins need to keep their distance from this toxic mess and continue to associate with the real professionals. I know that Larry and Laurent must feel some need to strengthen their street creds after so many recent posh appearances but honestly the street has moved on from tawdry battles and wannabe hangers on who are reluctant to make an effort to find other meaningful work as they age out of dancing. and hit a wall with the limited creativity. The ironic take on the episode was that Larry won of course. Larry was the better performer. His threats were amusing and delightful, even charming. Greenteck was actually pretty boring, tediously annoying and now, wussy to boot. That’s probably not what Greenteck was hoping for. I hope the promoters find another way to make their shtick more interesting because this stuff isn’t working. Larry easily could have ended up in jail so he needs to think through his reactions. I must emphasize again that promoters are setting the stage for disaster and Les Twins need to wise up and stay away. They have such immense generosity of spirit with almost everyone they come in contact with and treat their fans with honesty and wonderful tongue in cheek narratives.
Wow great analysis of the situation. Love your angle. Promoters are technically the ones responsible. This reminds me of the Connor vs khabib fight. After khabib won, his team bum rushed the octagon and a riot ensued. It was out of hand and beyond unsportsmanlike conduct. In this case it was the athletes (khabib and Connor) who got the fine and not the promoters (ufc) A somewhat similar case in which it may be hard to say who is really at fault and who should get fined in a situation like this. It’s a bit of everybody’s fault, but who should be ‘punished’ if there were a punishment. Like you said it probably would’ve been Larry, since what he did was illegal. Thanks again for watching and you insight, most interesting comments so far, appreciate the perspective. Also I recommend watching Alieness’ apology video, he is a very respected og and part of MzK ( Greeteck’s crew ) he makes lots of very very Interesting points. It’s on Facebook :)
Alright. Let me tell you what my gripe is. For the people who think they know so much. For those who have come to know about Nipsey Hussell there was a very publicized dispute with him and Complex magazine in which they ragged on him falling off because they hadn't seen a regular stream of output from him and he let them fuckin have it. Like he told them, "This is my REAL LIFE. What I talk about is not for games, this is real stuff I deal with and who are YOU to come in and judge me on some shit and you not even FROM IT." Basically he was saying that they were just spectators to the culture. Just because you were the clothes, the colors, the gear, speak the lingo does NOT make you apart of that. So you don't GET to check anybody about nothing of that and you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Yeah opinions are like assholes & everybody got one but all I'm saying is that you won't be shitting anywhere around here just because you feel privileged. No Sir, No Mam No Ham No TURK!!!! That perfectly fits here. Dance is Les Twins REAL FUCKIN LIFE. They don't do it just for the money, the notoriety, their blessings have come to them because they take it serious and give their all into it because they love it and respect it, so for this ass to hold an HONORABLE SEAT as a judge of dance and to then 100% show disregard of it and to do so in front of two of the most passionate dancers who so happen to be in their second season of judging on NATIONAL TELEVISION is an insult to the highest degree. And you are KNOWN to harass other dancers. BULLSHIT. And this dance shit originated out of places and people of violence, that's the grit that you imitators try to mimic when you do these moves and try to portray that attitude. Watch the whole battle and do you not see all the competitors who aint from those places where it came from trying to convey it! STOP PLAYING. And I know for my OWN SELF that Les Twins is Really ABOUT THAT AND OF THAT. Im Chicago born and raised from those types of places where this dance shit comes from, from the hood, from the culture, that IS my lingo and I can personally vouch for Les Twins because I travel to see them and I have personally witnessed their solid background in hip hop & not just that new style shit. And people been playing with them too fuckin much and taking their niceness for granted. Ol boy just learned that they really DO THIS so mind himself.
You 100% right. Last year for the Bet Awards, Nipsey hussle slaped a guy too who disrespect his bodyguard. The karma used Larry as a tool on Greenteck, he deserved this slap who is more powerful than a punch. I am from the same native island ( Guadeloupe French west indies) of Les Twins. In our Caribbean culture, a slap means everything !!! It's the humiliation response at the level of offense that a person causes. ✌
bruh what they did when they lost? they only talk trash and that s what a lot of dancers they thought they deserved to win and that s their opinion what this have to do whith greenteck having a job to do and not doing it right
Well dance has always been a physical representation of a persons feelings and persona as well as mastery and showmanship and overall the craft and to disregard a fellow dancer who has poured just as much time and effort to be judge by a fellow dancing pier just to be thrown asunder out of clear self righteousness and viewing only a person by persona and not their skillz is a slap in the face .... most disregard greenteks persona in favor of his dance, but he goes and disrespects someone for their persona and even judges based on his view of their persona and not ability ......a huge procastinator and ego filled head that definitely needs some perspective most def ~w~ still respect but at the same time he needs to respect the others that are on the same floor and future gens to come yo ^w^
@19:14, when I saw that my first thought was david Chappelle's sketch of Rick James slapping the sh@#t out of Charlie Murphy. What the hand say to the face ? SMACK!!!! HAHAHA!!!
This video makes my mind peaceful after I watch the slap all over again!🤙😝 Greenteck will surely awaken about facing those slap by Larry.😂 Thanks for making this!
Larry I know you're mad about the situation with that but all your head up and keep doing your dance because like you said you and your brother do a beautiful job
King Paname she's probably one of his maaaaaaaaany ex side-girlfriends lol no hate towards the girl, but those Larry's 'exes' have been salty over the Internet for years(I'm not saying he didn't deserve it🤣)
@Arctic Tune i think you're right, because that Angelique is one of the best Larry's hater on social medias. I saw the comments of that person on many les twins videos. That person always talks shit or negatively about Larry. I wonder what Larry did to her or him because the hate is too much😨
I know I'm late to the table on this, but I'm glad to see this video. What Larry was saying about kids and his people...he's referring to people like me. I'm not a part of the dance world, but Les Twins have inspired me and had a positive impact on my life. They actually care about people. They give good so they get good in return. And he wasn't calling out Redbull. At one point, he calls out Greenteck for disrespecting Redbull on top of everything else. While he does make it clear there will be issues in the future based on promoters' decisions, he's also kind of speaking up for them because he and his brother respect what they do and the people they do it for. Both Larry and Laurent may have their angry moments, but they're always quick to overcome them and quick to offer a resolution. And for people who think a bitch slap was a big deal, I'm considering the restraint he showed after everything that happened. Larry is 6'4" and he'd been dealing with this for quite a while. He and his brother live and breathe dance. They continue to battle and do things that they've actually surpassed because they just love it. So a lot of guy's in his position would have just laid the guy out. I don't condone violence, but no one had put a stop to extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior, and he was standing up for his competitors as well. Just one more reason I love them both.
Les Twins are the best dancers in the world...show at least that respect to pay attention if you are a so called "impartial judge".. For him to have the reaction to slap you the world knowing them two and how humble and generous they tend to be.... then their was a level of disrespect at that time that warranted that (SLAP HEARD ROUND THE WORLD!!) Viva Les Twins!!!!
As someone from the ghetto if you're going to act like Greenteck you best be ready to back it up and he couldn't. He was never as hard as he pretended and it was always annoying and unnecessary, not to mention he was warned and I say that as a huge fan of his. His arrogance made him think he was untouchable but he found out the hard way, no one is untouchable.
By the time I got to this story it had been watered down. Thanks for the detailed content. It's an old story but still new because we know Larry don't play! Like when he said Quavo gone catch these hands for hitting Laurent! Love these guys
Look 3:12 now i understand why lerry saying to laurent that (im watching you ) he deserves the slap...and if you dont understad look orginal video of red bull bc
in the olympics for example, if a judge is not fair, he doesn't only get fired, but he has to receive severe punishment and pay fine. but what would've happened to greenteck if larry hadn't done anything. green would've just got away with it. i'm strongly against violence, but i sympathize for him for taking the last resort.
Larry Larry Larry, greentek deserved the slap because he purposely did not watch them dance and he’s a judge! And actually red bull should have known that there is a problem with greentek because of a previous instance with another dancer. Now Larry, please stop all ranting because you’ve made your statement and now you need to be the bigger person in more ways than one, and just walk away. and definitely Grrentek needs to not ever judge dancers!and also violence is not the way to fix the matter, remember you are role models now!
Just coming across this. Pleze people don't forget...some of us dancers are really from the hood or streets. Not everyone is gonna turn the other cheek no matter how "famous" we get 💯📠
I don't condone it...but I understand. Larry has every right to be pissed. However, that's what emails and meetings are for. Your people talk to my people and if the powers that be deem it necessary to take it further then so be it. It was all documented, so everyone can see that as a judge Greenteck was being negligent. And to the point of getting better and focusing on skills rather than drama...excellent point. However, getting better won't matter in a case like this if that type of behavior from judges is left unaddressed. I just wish that it was done differently for the sake of Les Twin's peace of mind and brand! Great post dude!!
Really appreciate this coverage. This is important because the personal drama is what allows the general public the ability to point and say that dancers are not athletes. To illustrate, boxing judges can be biased, but boxers have the ability to knockout, and no matter what, even if a boxer gets an olympic gold medal stolen from them, you don't see this kind of response. The same can be said for other sports. In the law of any country this is an assault and police could have been involved. Greenteck was looking at times (while using his peripherals often) for the knockout and did not find it, in fact he literally saw Les Twins get trampled on between rounds, for no fault of his own. Greenteck also had to listen to the crowd for their cheering. If he had earphones only when Les Twins performed then he would have deserved worse, but that is not up to the performer to decide. That is up to the regulators. The smack instead could have been a permanent ban for example, but unprofessionalism was met with further unprofessionalism.
