8 November 2022 - Leslie Phillips died aged 98.
During the actual filming of 'Not Now Comrade', we managed to get an interview with Leslie Phillips. They were at the time, currently filming sequences at the Royal Albert Hall (London), almost metres away from our studio. As we already knew the EMI publicity team on the film it wasn't difficult to arrange for us to whisk him off the film set and into our studio. As you will see, he is still in his 'naval' costume for the film. The interviewer is Mark Caldwell and it was recorded in black and white.
Please note, that the many years that have passed by have not been kind to some videotapes and you'll notice more oxide tape dropouts than usual on this recording!
