After a few days in Lesotho, we decided to Bushcamp and enjoy the peace and quiet of this natural paradise. We do some hiking, explore the mountains with the 4x4 and get soaking wet while freezing cold but enjoying every minute of it.
LOL Yes the weather was a little appalling, but it also made for a great adventure. The weather in general is very Hot where we live so we find the colder weather somewhat as a challenge lol
The 90km road to Sehlabathebe has officially been opened and it's beautiful, I'm about to visit this December this road is going to make things a lot easier and boost tourism there!
@@KhabaneMakhobaloMakhaola Lovely, I must be honest, I thought the roads in Lesotho was really not bad and for the adventure seekers they offer so much off road terrain. I hope you have a super holiday and travel safely, it’s such a lovely country.
Hi Wickus. Great series in Lesotho! Did you contact the accommodation place before getting to Sehlabathebe national park or just show up? Planning to spend two nights there at the beginning of Jan but struggling to find a reliable website. We don’t have the camping gear so aiming to stay in the lodge. If you could recommend a website or the name of the lodge it would be greatly appreciated
Good day Andrew, thank you very much for the great feedback. Here is the owners contact details at Sehlabathebe National Park- her name is Happy +266 62694038. The lodge rondawels were really nice a bit pricey @ R1000 p/night. If I may recommend, do take a drive to the old lodge while you are there, thats where you can go for hikes and experience the real beauty of the area and its only about 5 or so km of ( fairly fine ) gravel roads and even the drive there is awesome. If you are going to Semonkong, let me know I also have contact details for the lodge there. Enyou your trip, you will love it!
My husband joined friends and did the trip up Matebeng and then the Park. They too stayed at the old site next to the stream. They too got soaked but had a most enjoyable trip. Thanks so very much for your efforts to highlight what Lesotho has to offer.
It is such a lovely place, I can’t stop telling people just how fortunate we are too life in this beautiful country with all its opportunities. Thanks for sharing your story.
