I'm not a jelly fish. Sound quality is excellent. This is the first video I've seen about triads that actually makes sense. Thanks for providing fun, easy, and practical lessons with exercises that focus on efficiency. I actually can't wait to apply what I'm learning from you. Also, i just want you to know how much i appreciate your sincerity and humility. A lot of RU-vid instructors, even the ones i love, are really just showboating or selling something (not that is necessarily bad), but you truly are all about the love and joy of music and that really means a lot to me. Thank you. ❤
Wow! That really means a lot to me. Thanks so much. Figuring out this YT thing is hard but super fun. I don't depend on YT to make my living, so that helps. I just want to help as many of you as I can. I think I'm always trying to think of ways for you to really use it in a real world playing situation. I promise to help you keep connecting the dots. Keep going and stoked to have you around here. :)
Thanks, this has been the only video that didn’t go in circles and I had to wait till the end of the video to gain a sliver of info. Also thank you for the diagrams that aren’t behind a patreon or paywall ❤ really appreciate your time and kindness
Thanks so much for the kind words. I am trying to figure out this YT game. Keep going my friend. Lots more to come. Just dropped this one about 20 minutes ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-atgbEru4guYh.htmlttps://ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-atgbEru4guY.html Let me know what you think. I'm trying hard to make the chord charts better and better. Thanks.
Jellyfish my friend. I like your vibe/calming presence and appreciate the passion you bring to teaching. I knew I’d like your lesson when I saw your shirt, because I always admire Frusciante
Thanks much for the kind words. I love Frusciante and the Peppers! I'm starting to figure out this YT thing. It's fun to create these lessons for you. Keep going Jellyfish! :) Stoked to have you around here.
@@mrelmoresmusiclab I’m gonna sub right now so I can be along for the ride and get better every lesson! Excited to see more videos and keep up the great work!
Jellyfish. Thank you for this lesson. I agree these types of exercises with TRIADS played along string sets moving up and down the neck using different voicings are great for disrupting our tendency to noodling on the guitar. What you said about chords, scales and the cage system just being interlinked and that its just a matter of tearing them apart and putting them back together again is so true. I liked the video.
Thank you so much for the breakdown too. You are so right. We just have to figure out how to connect the dots and it becomes easier and easier. Keep going jellyfish.
Every time I come to RU-vid these days I’m blown away by the quality of guitar content coming out at a crazy pace. Thanks for contributing. I like your diagram, but felt it could be slightly clearer by 1/ making the circle not take up the full fret and 2/ the grid is so square, it took me a half second to orient using your string labels. It’s not ambiguous, but it’s not obvious at a glance.
Thanks so much for the feedback. Yeah, it's taken me awhile how to figure out this YT thing. I just started trying to make my own labels to make it a bit more original and I can put a little more info. on there. I will see what I can improve based off of your feedback. I might even need to verbally explain the chart a bit more in depth during the video. Yeah, you are so right the amount of content is pretty staggering, really great, but you have to anchor in and really soak it in and apply it. Keep going!
Ty for this emphasis on triads! None of my guitar teachers introduced me to this subject but it was through self-study that I learned abt triads and that changed everything for me!🪼
Audio worked great, and love the simplicity, now want to learn all of these and the others - E, etc. There are far too many way confusing lessons. Keep it simple.
Thank you so much. I’m so glad to hear you made it to the end. Ha ha you’re restoring my faith in humanity. Lots more to come. I will do my best to deliver.😎jellyfish
Good lesson, i like those exact shapes & have been working on. I like the major shape on strings D, G & B since I find it hard to bar the e & B while also fretting the G on the "F shape." I also like the "D" shape on the 1st 3 strings and the minor shape on the first 3, and major shape straight across on D-G-B. I like to see how close I can get all the triads of a scale. By mixing & matching shapes you can eliminate much movement. Like if I played G Diagonal with root on 5th frt of string 4, I would play A minor strt across at 5, root on 1st string. Having said all that I will continue to be a noodler after 10 or so years since my memory is very poor, things leave my brain after about a day. Oh, and Jellyfish.
Thank you so much for watching. Great response to. In the end, the fact that you are playing is what matters the most. Sounds like you definitely have a good idea of what you’re doing. One day at a time, my friend. Keep going.
A shout out for the Yamaha Red label series FSX 3 & 5 and FGX 3 & 5 (3 series build in China & 5 build in Japan.) The 3 series are fantastic for the price.
Jellyfish. audio is good, it's a good balance between your voice and guitar. No turning the sound up and down to compensated for the difference. Thanks for the video.
