Once i was playing a not so easy mozart piece at the end of my piano lesson and some people were whatching but then this guy interrupts me and asks if he can play something. Ur welcome Edit: by the way, the subdivisión of the 7:1 in this case is with sixteenth notes (under a seventh tuplet simbol) And in case u wanna write it u should put seven dotted eights (for music ortography) and put it under a seventh tuplet simbol. But for simplicity and music funcionality u can write it as seven eights (under the simbol of a seventh against three tuplet) In the last case in order to identify thats not 7:2,the tuplet must say 7:3, not just 7.

Oh god Polyrhythms... I always hated these when I was playing the piano. Funnily enough my teacher always told me to not do exactly what they tried in the video: Don't try to calculate when what note comes, it will just drive you insane when you can't do it at fast speed. Instead don't think too much and just try to make your hands play independently while focussing only on synching the downbeats. Surprisingly it works(sometimes)

As a pianist playing two-part polyrhythms, so long as I have in mind the points where the two sections meet, I can mentally play the two parts independently, focusing on getting each part evened out individually as opposed to thinking of which note comes after the other. Nonetheless, I agree it can be different when you are syncing up with someone else, but playing _three_ simultaneously seems like a whole different story.

I once played a song where there was a section where one of my hands had to play 3,4 and the other has to play 4,4, I had never played a song with different beats for different hands before so it was horrible, nice experience tho. ( it took me about a week to get used to it ) ( for the nonexistent ppl who are interested in what instrument and song it was, it was the harp and the song was ‘Fire dance’ )
