No. I think you mean to say thank you, capitalism. In the age of the algorithm so to speak, many artists are now releasing new albums piecemeal in order to increase engagement and the trend on social media platforms. This is nothing new. Artists used to release A SONG or TWO with music videos to promote the new album and increase record sales, T.V. appearances, and radio play. But sadly, the internet killed the video star. Nowadays, engagement is, for the most part, acsessible 24/7 in the palms of our hands. I personally don't purchase a physical copy of albums anymore, unless it's a band that I'm really, really into. All that being said, if I were a musical artist I would do the same effing thing. But I agree, I thank Less Tham Jake for still pumping out new material and doing the hard work. I've been a huge fan for 20 years now. P.S. I'm sorry to "Adam Ruins Everything" your post. It started as a small joke and I went into full cynical rant mode. MY BAD!
