In addition to supplements and a low histamine diet, I have found success in using PEMF and exercises for healing lymbic system dysfunction since the brain gets stuck in a negative protective threat loop, but it takes months to rewire. I feel like a lot of doctors miss the connection to the brain.
Thank you Dr Paul 🙏 I wish I had you as my doctor, my doctor and I are from different planets.. he only wants me to take drugs, that's it.. and I have realised so much about my health from doctors like you ❤❤❤
I’m in day 4 with DAO and after trying everything else this is by far the best… my itching has been reduced daily.. I’m oldies taking choline low dose daily! My sluggish digestion made it impossible to take meds as they build up in my blood and cause side effects! Bold salts too! I believe C19 reactivated latent viruses hence MCAS EBV .. body off balance! My allergy dna testing said I’m sensitive to flavonoids.. so no wonder I feel worse on those supplements.. but cumin turmeric I’m ok! Excellent.. thank you for this explanation.. at least I know I’m not imagining things and on the right track 🙏
@@Joannabanana1989 I use Omne Diem Histamine Digest ( DAO) . This helps those of us whose production of DAO (diamine oxidase enzyme ) are compromised. If this is not an issue, DAO won't help you.
@littlemom thank you! It is basically a crap shoot to find something that helps. I think colostrum made the biggest difference in my hives and itchiness so I am sticking with that for now. I was surprised it helped but my sinus allergies are better, too.
I finally found the solution that works for me! I struggled for the last 20 years with MCAS. I started taking minimal testosterone with a doctor and my symptoms have completely disappeared except when I forget to inject the testosterone. It’s been life changing for me.
@@DrA-Online it has been truly life changing. I think many suffering from MCAS have hormone imbalances and should be tested for low testosterone and other relevant hormones. Which hormones should women be tested for?
@@chanducool385i highly recommended getting tested by a doctor or men’s health specialist. But the amount is 5ml per week. Some people need a little more.
Thank you sooo much. I’m going to go back and listen to all your videos. I’m in a flare right now and desperate to calm the mast cells down after anaphylaxis last week.
Excuse me Dr. Anderson, but at 11:26, did you mean to say “aldehyde” instead of “histamine”. You were talking about the histamine N-methyltransferase pathway. So for clarity, how does one support the aldehyde dehydrogenase step? Is that what the thiamine is for? Thank you in advance. Great video!
I have all the typical ailments associated with MCAS including histamine intolerance. My mast cells will activate for no apparent reason but they are also triggered to activate by sulphites (sulfites) either inhaled, ingested, or via contact. The triggered releases are the worst and can cause anaphylaxis and coma. Typically a triggered attack will cause my blood platelets to drop dangerously low, my GGT count to go through the roof, vitamin b12 to disappear, have loads of free calcium in my blood (have lost almost all teeth), and oddly my parathyroid hormones are high. There are 6-types of sulphites. Most are natural and found in many foods such as grapes, lemons, avocados, etc. They are also manmade and applied to processed foods like frozen entree's, deli-meats, most knorr products, etc. But the 6th sulphite and most odd in my opinion is Sulphur Dioxide gas (S02). This gas is applied to dehydrated foods as a preservative and is generated by the burning of diesel fuel. I even react if I follow a couple of highway trucks. So, I have eliminated all foods containing sulphites from my diet and all high histamine foods. I take a mast cell stabilizing drug, an anti-histamine drug, and a narcolepsy drug to stay awake. I hope learning of my trigger (sulphites) helps others. 🍚👋😷 Bubble Man
Thank you for all this information!! Q: Is it possible for someone to have MCAS but without a lot of histamine release, but rather instead there is an abundance of other metabolites like Serotonin, Heparin, Prostaglandin, Tryptase etc..?
That's an interesting question - usually MCAS is specifically talking about histamine and mast cells. The release of other metabolites would be linked to different cells. Sorry if we're not too helpful, maybe a question for your integrative doc! -Team Dr. A
@@JaninesPlace after a lot of doctors visits my own gp did a b6 blood test. After stopping the supplement with B6 in it I entered recoil. I found interesting research on the website understanding b6 toxicity with western medicine. There was a support group linked to it.
I had IBS symptoms for years along with heavy eyes, UTI infections galore. This year I started to get daily headaches. Then sudden loss of balance, wobbling, acute depression for three days, muscle spasms, kidneys attacked, memory gone, anaphylaxis, etc. Got tests and tested positive for Epstein Barr/CMV. I took the antihistamines and the Cromolyn Sodium and supplements. Almost all symptoms are gone but the headaches won’t go away…. any suggestions for the headaches and could this be triggered by the Epstein Barr?
@@S-terNichols I take magnesium and calcium. I live in an old house in S France and don’t have a bath. I find that Quercetin helps quite a bit, actually. Just hope I’m not taking too much.
are we certain there is no purpose for mast cell activation in cases where there is high environmental toxicity? could it be protecting organs, etc when the toxins are mobilized for excretion?
I have stopped taking Vit C because after I wrote the above comment I was diagnosed with another autoimmune. Vit C heightens an already over active immune system. Also oranges have always hurt my joints if I take them every day.
I have a chocolate and coffee intolerance. I switched to Pure coffee which is expensive but I can tolerate two cups a day or the 1/3rd caffiene. I do not eat chocolate. I was eating one peice of chocolate a day and then can't for months, cycle, repeat. Just gave up on it. Haven't figured it all out yet but I am taking Rupall, Famotidine, Ketotifen and following a diet that is low histamine, keto, and getting rid of other things I am 'allergic' to like apples. Trying things out all the time. I take a ridiculous amount of supplements. I hate turmeric and quercetin, makes me feel horrible. I do take milk Thistle, NAC, and Glutathione even though sometimes it gives me brain fog and anxiety. Just ordered something called ig 26 df which was recommended to me. L-theonine works awesome for me. I am 33 years old for context. I have a progesterone IUD. Thinking of starting estrogen pills when I hit 35 once I get my supplements locked in better to see what happens. I also take b complex and other track minerals, fish oil, multivitamin, high dose vitamin c. Just ordered SAMe to try it out as well. Long story short, good luck, try Pure Coffee :)
Tu dr Anderson, was premed, am vax injured sars/covid, 3 yrs in w massive whole bidy deregulation🤐..10 western drs cant help me, don't kno what imtalking about, studied thisdisease 2 years, mast cell activation common w long covid patients, protocol w remission biome suggest use of many flavinoids u mention..dr Sinclair stopped LDN, so where to get it?disages woul be helpful..just joined🙏❤️
Those (as you know) are very frustrating situations. When people do not get much help looking at the actual histamine and mast cell portion they usually have other triggers that have to be addressed. Sadly those can be almost anything, but hormone balance, stealth infections, toxicants (mold, chemical, metal), and other things have to be properly assessed
Homeopathy has helped me. I take an allergy formula that helps me a lot. I also take nux vomica that has also helped me. I also do the Buteyko method of breathing which calms the body and increases oxygenation to the body which helps the body to heal. Good luck!
Im a little confused. If I eat methylated b12 och methylfolate can that be bad? Can it get stuck in the pathway and can I get a histaminlike response to it? I take methylfolate and methyl b complex because I think im undermethylate due to a mutation on my mthfr gene.
just stop eating all plants for 30 days. you will have amazing results on many issues. BEEF, BUTTER, BACON & EGGS for 30 days. FRIGGINFOUNTAINOFYOUTH!!
I tried carnivore diet and it tried to clear my histamine issues but again developed other cholesterol related issues and deficiencies due to animal products Animal products are the worst Never try carnivore diet it's dangerous
