❗️ There's a little confusion about the questions that start with "Can you...?" Take a note that in Russian, here you skip the verb "мочь" (can, be able to): 1:19 - 1. Can you hear me? 2:02 - 2. Are you listening to me? 2:23 - 3. Can you see me? 3:05 - Answers to the questions above 3:57 - 4. Can you see me well? 4:14 - 5. Can you hear me well? 4:32 - How you answer these questions. 5:09 - 6. Can you hear what I’m saying? 5:25 - 7. Do you understand? 6:05 - How to express your understanding 6:41 - 8. I don’t understand, can you repeat, please? 7:04 - 9. Can you say it again in English? 7:24 - 10. How do you say it in English? 7:46 - 11. One more time, please? 8:09 - 12. Can you say it slower? 8:38 - 13. Are you talking to me? 9:07 - Practice the phrases on your own. Pt.1 9:24 - Practice the phrases on your own. Pt.2 📌 TRANSCRIPT: www.linkedin.com/pulse/speak-russian-13-must-know-clarifying-questions-voice-misuraghina/?published=t Check Description for the links mentioned in the video. 👆 This video is a part of a guided plan for learning Russian: ru-vid.com/group/PLpgpVaWoAiTEF8aNQvPnFCLBrtIeF3tqa

Thank you for making a video about these basic vocabulary. Here is a question, what is the difference between говорить со мной или говорить мне?
@RussianComprehensive
@RussianComprehensive 3 года назад
Both "со мнОй" and "мне" are forms of "я", so-called cases. You can see all the forms (cases) of "я" over here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E16ukPmV2BA.html Depending on a certain phrase, you'll use a certain form of "я", for instance: "Ты говорИшь со мнОй" = You're talking to me; "Ты говорИшь мне..." = You're telling me (smth)

Google translate and kartaslov.ru say that повторять is the present tense of "to repeat", while повторить is the future tense. Is a more literal translation of your sentence "please, to repeat (not now, in the future)" ? Спасибо!
@RussianComprehensive

Both повторЯть and повторИть mean "to repeat", the 1st is imperfective (many times), the second is perfective (one time).

I love your videos but the fast paced music distracts me from what you are telling us. Can you use a slower maybe easy listening instrumental background or even no music. I apologize for this but as an English teacher in Moscow from Los Angeles, all California teachers are told no human can remember more than 75% of any new idea the first time. I never expect more that half that 75% or about 35%. Also, the first and last 8 minutes have the least attention. Your quick paced music distracts me from you easy to listen to voice and your excellent lesson plan. Again I apologize for my not negative comments. You sessions help me greatly and I listen to them at least 3 times. Many thanks, Peace. George Dole
