This seminar is part of the NOAA Southeast and Caribbean Regional Collaboration Team (SECART) 2024 Hurricane Awareness Webinar Series. This webinar series takes place throughout the month of May, where each week SECART features various topics as we prepare for the start of this year’s hurricane season on June 1st.
This is the first webinar of the SECART 2024 Hurricane Awareness Webinar Series. The Hurricane Awareness Webinar Series highlights the information and capabilities to help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. Each webinar will explore various topics that are regionally-relevant and will focus on the latest data, tools, and services from NOAA. This first webinar covered lessons learned from the 2023 hurricane season and an outlook on the 2024 season ahead, presented by Robbie Berg, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at NOAA’s National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL.
