I was 17 years old and in my last weeks of high school. I used to run a reasonably quick (5:30) mile around the track every day after school. One day I see these 2 "old guys" running around the track. When they were finished (they had run ten miles) I struck up a conversation with them. One of them was 31 and one was 47. They were in training for the 52 mile Brighton to London run in England. They made such an impression on me and I remember thinking, "That's the kind of 31 and 47 year olds I want to be." Now in my late 60's I"m well past that but Master Nakahodo just took their place as a role model for me.
In fact sports karate is destroying traditional karate! Karate in Olympic Games is going to make it wide spread but also weaken karate. No one is interested in traditional karate anymore. If you gyak traditionally you don’t score a point!🤦🏾♂️
Fugas Papa I think if those people who do sport karate and spar with it, they will slowly realize that sport karate alone can not do well in self defense.
