Lessons On Friendship | Making and Losing friends & How to be intentional Ft Wanjiru & Nyawira 

A secret I would like to share is that anything your friend knows or does better than you is a plus for you. Stop competing with your friends! Learn from them.💛

I think we need to change how we view seasonal friendship. Instead of thinking I lost this friendship or we weren't friends because how can we have grown apart, we can choose to think how lucky, blessed and grateful we are to have experienced this person for the short time. So that instead of carrying hurt, we carry gratitude and little prayers for those short friendships. When I think about some of my old best friends, I say little prayers, hoping they are doing well wherever they are. We may not talk, we may be in different stages in life but I still hold love for them in my heart.

What a conversation!! My goodness! So much learnt here honestly. It’s so hard to make friendships over here since I moved from Kenya to USA. Most people here love people they are in levels with and since I’m kind of new in the US, I feel like most people who have been here for quite sometime now, want too much in the friendship that it’s so hard to fit in cause I’m not yet there. It takes so much time and hard work to settle down in America as an immigrant, that you end up being ghosted by people because you can’t fit in. Some people want to hang out every weekend and not for a positive growing reason but for messy purposes, which it’s a big turn off on my end because I’ve a specific mindset and an already set goal, so I end up letting them go. But I’m really praying for my friendship tribe. I need some.
