That fucking bow armor at 12:50 still cracks me up, battlecruiser btw. Twitter: twitter.com/flamuchz Discord: discord.gg/Flamu Stream: www.twitch.tv/flamuu Insta: instagram.com/flamugram/
They should have made it historically accurate, the soviets could never make cemented armor thicker than 230mm. So no soviet bb in game should armor thicker than 230mm on their belt.
The fictional Soviet BS.......BC line. Full suite of Stalinium bow armour, rounds that penetrate 40 inches of titanium alloy and WG approved accuracy. Balans.
Do you notice, what ALL battlecruisers in WoWS have in common, regardless if they are part of a dedicated BC tech tree, or in the BB tech tree, or a premiumship? (Even if we ignore the armor, which became a trade mark for all dedicated BC lines, there are still some oddities). They have a trash turning radius. Because battlecruisers need a very long and slim hull. Which is why high tier battlecruisers have a turning radius of 950-1160 meters. But this ship neither has the hull form, nor the turning radius.
Battlecruisers: Slim and long hulls, thinner plating to achieve their top speeds. This thing: "Da komrat, shape is Vermont but vith Stalin approved armor, turn vell like komrat Lada and speed like jet plane vith vodka koolant. Harasho! Downside, is designed by dirty tzarist regime."
Yeeesh. Look at the underwater profile of that t10. No way in hell that thing would be capable of anything even remotely approaching 30 knots, let alone freaking forty ....
The Soviets were literally so far ahead of everyone everyone else in terms of Naval design in WW1, as evident of these "Battle Cruisers" that by the time WW2 came around, the Soviets had literally gone full circle and were behind everyone else in terms of Naval design and capability. That's that superior Soviet engineering for you.
Tzar Russia TOP DESIGN was the Ismail, and even that was heavily licensed from the West and depended on foreign shipbuilding experts. Dumb communist primitives who "made the Revolution" and killed or forced to flee all smart and thinking Russians didn't even have the skill to finish a single Ismail-class ship even a DECADE later. The largest ship designed and build by the Soviets before 1950 were crappy failures called Leningrad-class destroyers. They could not even design light cruisers, their heavy cruisers were failed copies of Italian ships, their battleship-caliber guns were only at TESTING in 1941 (small difference from 1914, just 2 digits swapped). Those cheaters promised us a historical naval game, and here is what they have produced.
These "Things" are exactly the reason, why I left WoWs. Such a great time it was, when the ships were at least laid down to build and some shipbuilders and engineers thought them out.
Soviets somehow went from not building a single modern battleship to apparently being the best in the world by far. All while not even building and completing a single one lol... gotta love how a ship less streamlined than a actual 1800s dreadnought can do 40 KNOTS lol
The t10 bb is hilarious, it looks like a Vermont with it’s thickness, especially with the torp protection. How TF can it go with this amour and displacement this fast. That makes no sense XD
Kinda amazing how nowadays some bbs run faster than dds, maybe they should consider buffing some destroyers speed cause it's kinda bonkers to see bbs going 37-38 knots and some dds without speedboost do less than that, that's my humble thought as I've seen the powercreep of the old tech trees dds going so slow compared to not new dds but even new bbs
I'd like to see the math of A: How much this thing weighs B: How much HP you'd require to move that weight through the Water at 42.5 Knots (~80KPH), C: How much Strain is put on the rudder And lastly, D: How big the Explosion would be if you Cit that Nuclear-powered Abomination, Because clearly, this thing would need at least TWO modern nuclear Reactors to get that Speed-
Re: ships looking good in port, it's mostly good lighting with what looks to me like some shader code to increase contrast Edit: it's a spot light versus a diffuse/area light in the other port
X looks like a Navarin but insanely speed up and stealthy (with supposedly "weak" AAs)- also with much more logical gun setups. So its going to appear out of nowhere with a Cruiser's stealth, brawl and no one can do much to hinder them, (AKA a lopsided slaughter- even DDs will be shreded by its 2ndaries) and then it can just ran away. NGL I love some of the grotesque designs like Fuso, Borodino, and Navarin and think X is quite up my alley. Sorry in advance. Cuz you might see me play a lot of it.
cmon flamuu dont be so toxic, you know the only way ussr and russia can have(or afford) nice and/or superior thins is trough their imagination. i mean they are losing a naval battle with a country without a navy lol
01:22 - chat log - user Imperator_Danny - "just watched road house, with jake gyllenhaal, "IT WAS PRETTY GOOD"" ban permanent ban, no take backs no apologies FOR HAVING TERRIBLE MOVIE CHOICES ahem. the road house remake is a sham, a disgusting fan service appreciation of JG and nothing more. no plot, character development, zero continuiity the original road house, with the LEGENDARY patrick swayze, is far far far superior. it has plot. character development. it has action scenes THAT WERE FILMED ON FILM, zero cgi watch the original and tell me with a straight face you prefer the remake. absolute garbage shit , isnt this the movie critique channel. damn and blast
Meanwhile French BBs have to sacrifice so much for their "speed" (republique max 34 knots when speedboost lmao), namely plating thickness and dispersion And this line just fucking gets everything and some additional perks
republic has those amazing high pen guns, fantastic balistics and velocity and near best in class fire rate for t10 bb. Its not sacrificing armour for only speed
@@thegoldenbunny4020this may have been true back in 2018. Excepr Republique's firepower is nothing special at T10 nowadays. Ships like Ohio or St Vincent have equally devastating guns while lacking any of République's shortcomings. And keep in mind that République, unlike the aforementioned ships, is still plagued with the garbage french dispersion formula. There is absolutely zero reasons to take République over St. Vincent. She's faster, she has way better firepower. She's tankier, she's more accurate and so on and so forth.
It is confirmed in Vodka's logic: Destroyer = Light Cruiser Light Cruiser = Heavy Cruiser Heavy Cruiser = Battle Cruiser Battle Cruiser = Battleship Battleship = Super Battleship Super Battleship = Megalodon??? And we haven't mention about submarine and carrier... nice Vodka I say 😁
I like how the tier 8 gets a fantasy 16"/52 but the Constellation, Kansas and Minnesota can't have the 16"/50s that were actually designed, thoroughly tested and serially-constructed in large numbers for them.
Can we also just take a moment to talk about the fact that the t9 has freaking twelve 406mm guns. While zooming around at 41 knots at 12km concealment. Man, I really don't want to think about the size of that crack pipe...
And 13.4k shell alpha, almost the same as WWII era USN Super Heavy 406 mm AP. On a 1914 design. Other BC's with supposed WWI era designs get much lower alpha, for example Rupprecht 11.5k. If that's anything to go by, the pen is probably going to be closer to WWII standards as well. Also, that HE is lowkey pretty good, only RN HE of similar size is objectively better while most others are objectively worse. Actually, seems pretty standard Soviet 406 mm HE, never noticed that it's actually quite good.
I saw the gun caliber being 406 and thought "well hey atleast it's not contributing to the overmatch problem." Then I found out that this is supposed to be a 1914 design... Also I saw someone mention that the back turret can turn 360-degrees? Can't wait to see the angles on that thing.
@@Flamuu This isn't even the most absurd design from that era they could go with, there was another one that had 16 406mm guns in a Lyon-style layout. Also to be extremely nitpicky I think they got the secondaries wrong, iirc they were supposed to be a new design 52-caliber 152mm gun.
So a BC that has speed, heavy armor, heavy gun batteries, strong secondaries, strong AA and is short and fat like a BB. WG completely ignoring the tenents of ship building of the era, i mean we know they have always ignored any semblence of balancing, WG reinforcing reasons never to touch this ambomination of a game.
Except this is not WG, this is Lesta. THis line is coming to the russian game, not World of warships WG's upcoming french DD tech tree is pretty good when it comes to historical accuracy
These are just automatically the best battleships in the game now aren't they? They auto bounce everything from the front, they have huge guns, and they have the maneuverability of a destroyer.
how are these even battlecruisers anyway? they have speed but don't seem to give up either armor or armament in anyway, they just have high speed for no reason.
Battlecruiser meaning: a type battleship that sacrifices armor for speed, it should be fast enough to run away from ships it cannot deal with while having firepower to destroy anything that can catch up to it Safe to say it isn't a battlecruiser but a fast battleship with engine boost, proof that Russia has no idea how to classify ships, I thought lesta was doing good because of the nerfs to CVs there, looks like I was wrong
As long as they keep nerfing CVs, they can add as many bs fantasy ships as they see fit. CVs will always be worse than even the most cracked surface ship
I want to see the following Battleship split with the following premiums enter the game in my lifetime: III Michigan IV Utah V Nevada VI Pennsylvania VII Tennessee VIII South Dakota IX New Jersey X New Hampshire VI Nevada '42 VIII Washington Give them good secondaries, temporary speed boosts, or radar.
Judging by the California's sorry state this line will also have everything till Tier 7 be 21 knot tin cans everyone skips - while a secondary gimmick on US BB's would be redundant, even on the Tier 8 and above, unless they give them built in IF HE and better range like the german ones, and if not better armor, better DCP and heal. Also if they don't rework the plane and submarine outspotting - they'll need to have good AA and ASW which 100% they won't get.
@AshCatTrainz it's what I wanted the American BB line split to look like, instead we got things that were absolute fever dreams over the ships that actually existed.
@meganoobbg3387 When I though of this line I thought of 2 things, give these ships speed boosts, and give them the old Soviet BB radar that the Soviet BBs were gonna have.
Apparently ruZZian BBs don't need crew accomodations nor fuel storage compartments, engines, generators and food so they can hide the entire super structure below deck..... 😂😂😂😂
i quit the game a few years ago, someone sent this video in a meme channel and i watched a few mins of it, all i can say same game same problem same people. Nothing has chanched, no wonder the playercount doesng go up or down they have their own market of people they can exploit who will stay there eveb with the abuse and by the looks of it they are making off good money on you.
For anyone wondering, at least according to google 25mms is 1 inch. So these battlecruisers has 3 inches of russian steel covering their bows. By comparison, most BBs have like 1 inch and a half or 32mms.
Honestly if you compare this to Schlieffen i think it makes sense (still a tad overpowered on stats side of things). Like Schlieffen has to be weakly armored to compensate its extremely absurd secondary's, Schlieffen is also a lot smaller than this. If this thing was overmatch able on the nose I don't see how it could ever even function in a match. Its belt armor seems a bit too high for how small it seems but ultimately will be balanced by its guns
Man... poor miss Monty is not only alone, she's been forcibly isolated, in the corner of some dark lint-coated room kicking a few rocks for enjoyment and crying her eyes out every moment of her life now. Thanks WG.
Russian always has its fantasy of a Grand Fleet in its imperal dream. Thanks to IJN on the victory of Tsushima that made its dream not on reality but in WoWs.
Quite interesting to see how they use the experience of actually building ships against most countries, while Russia gets a "free-card" on fantasy ships?
That the nature of the beast. If you want to flesh out nations, there's only so many actual ships to use. Not everyone had a standing deep navy like the US and UK etc. So you have to either make straight up fantasy ships, or use designs from ships that were designed but not laid down. I don't mind it so much, as long as balance is part of the equation.
Thanks for this extensive review of work safety measures at Lesta. Glad for the employees they were able to remove any danger of someone falling out of a window.
