For everyone who is gonna ask the same question os cristinaroco, what Cruise played is a variation of Haydn Piano Sonata 59 in E Flat Movement 2 (Adagio e Cantabile) there is NO sheet music for what tom cruise plays, there is however sheet music for the official thing.
i almost starts too cry when i hear this ! i love the movie..pasion.. i've got real much pasion for this movie and i falled in love with this piano song!
I remember me 10 years ago. At times where no internet at our home excisted and no DVD were available. I was 10 years old. I had Interview with a vampire on video, i recorded it one day before. i kept repeating this pianosong again and again, about 50 times. I loved it and i still do. Brilliantly played !
I just wanted to say thanks for this video. I've had it on my favourite list for a long time, and I still listen to it occasionally. It's excellent! I with you'd post a video with the whole piece. :)
you play really really good, and i love that you give the attention to the melody and not just the lefthand, many people play the scales or what i should call it too loud, and so in the beginning you played it really good
If the goal is to play the song as closely as Lestat played it in the movie as possible, then I am far better at coming close to playing this as it is in the movie! :D
By far the version i've heard, to bad the end appears to be cut. You should reupload again with proper ending. Damn thank you buddy I can listen this in an infinite piano loop :)
Am I the only guy who has learned to play this song EXACTLY as Lestat plays it, every single note? Of course sometimes there's uneven delays between some notes, and those I have to sort of wing, but every single note played I learned exactly! :D
@dublinandrew Are you sure it is "been on the diet", rather than "then, on the diet..."? I always thought it was the other way around. But then again I thought he said "Ask the alligator" which in my opinion packed more Lestat attitude.
I was sitting with dinner in my lap, having a spoon with food close too my mouth and freezed at 1:04 O.O "I make peoples food cold with my music!" - Thats something you can brag about too people now xD
A beautiful peice of work...btw this is not moonlight sonata...this is haydn, they do sound alike but if u dont believe me watch this video then watch moonlight sonata and you'll see the difference
Oh, Mon Lestat, Mon Chagrin, how i love you so! I wouldnt be on this earth still if it werent for you, Mon cher! (Love the piece. Its truly beautiful. And No one can play Lestat perfectly. Tom Cruise though, played it a little better then Steward(SP) in QOTD)
I like it alot, played like the dessicated lestat then like the original. Interesting that your hands invert the other way. Despite Vergil3000's slightly patronising post, I actually prefer your version to yukisakuma's. Though he has a nicer piano.
Can you please answer this one small question? What is the name of the soung and the person who wort it... I'm was hoping to find the music sheets to it soo I could learn and play this beautiful piece of work. Thanx if you can help!
I see you play the veriation of Hydan sonata , it's beautiful . I've been trying to get my hands on the sheet music for this but having great difficulty , does anyone know it can be got ? Ware did you learn it from , I'd pay for someone to email me the music for this veriation ...Kieron ...
