I'm a full timer and I've been on the road for over 8 years. I've got a 2001 Dodge 2500 8 ft bed with a rampage lift in the back. I pull a 24 ft layton travel trailer. An alternative would be a dolly under each bike with a winch cable pulling them up on the truck. I understand that's what tow companies do.

Congratulations! I just love the way you built it up to the unveiling moment. My wife and I spent 2 months traveling on our Harley last year on a trip I called ‘mission possible’. As a celebration of life after 2 months of radiation treatment for prostrate cancer. Pulling a Bushtec trailer doing a combination tent camping and motels. I’ll make this prediction, your Harley will be replaced with an ‘adventure’ bike within year! LOL! 👍

Congratulations on this exciting new change - I think you are going to really appreciate the added comfort and convenience. My wife and I have been riding motorcycles for over 50 years and RVing for 30+ of those years. She hooked me with the idea of getting a motorhome by saying "We can haul the motorcycles south in the winter." We also did the hauling a Bushtec behind a Harley (me) and a Goldwing (her). When we combined the bikes and RVing we made another change: without the need to haul everything on the bikes, we started downsizing the bikes. At age 66, a deteriorating hip made me think I was done riding. My wife suggested we get a couple scooters (yes - scooters), since it hurt too much to throw a leg over a motorcycle. Another discovery: these scoots (a Yamaha Xmax for her, a Vespa GTS HPE for me) have been a blast! In the meantime, I had a hip replacement and can now ride anything I want again... and we are staying with the scoots. The current motorhome isn't our full-time domicile, but we spend about 6 months +/- each year hauling to great places to ride... and at the best times to be there. You two are the real deal. If you get any pushback about "getting soft," you have nothing to prove to anyone. The main thing is to keep riding and continue to enjoy it. Riding is my passion - it has been since my wife and I dated in high school, on a motorcycle; well, she was my girlfriend back then, but we have been together ever since. And always riding... between us: 9 Harleys, 4 Goldwings, 2 BMWs, and a bunch of other bikes. I am very excited for you with this next chapter! (Captain Jim & the Blonde)

@@cancelchannel3394 I, too, appreciate their passion for travel and riding. I enjoy seeing their videos and whatever ever way they choose to travel. For some perspective, we tow our bikes in a cargo trailer behind our motorhome, and it is definitely more enjoyable for us, compared to schlepping stuff in and out of a hotel/motel. We have been riding for over 50 years and have tried it different ways over the years - we know what works for us, and apparently so do Rich and Chris, as they try it different ways.

My wife and I are into our 70's and tour on the Road Glide whenever possible. We gave up our Aspen Sentry Camper because we wanted a little more comfort at the end of a long day of riding and didn't want to spend the first few hours and the last few hours of each day setting up and packing down the damn thing every day!! We decided to plan ahead and motel it on our travels. What a relief it was to get out from underneath that thing! We still pull a Bushtec Turbo II cargo trailer for our 'overage' necessities. You two have made such a 'left turn' in your touring decisions, and that is disappointing. Loved the videos you took on the bikes, and that is what kept our attention in your vlog. Videos through a truck window won't be the same, and we're afraid you'll be heading for some difficult times loading and unloading heavy bikes on/off your truck of choice. We wish you all the luck!

Nice set up but I think you will miss the simplicity of pulling ruby. I think you’ll end up missing out on a lot of rides because of the hassle of unhooking the camper, pulling ramps out and unloading the bikes. It would have been nice if you could have figured out a way to load from the side. Dragging that setup will cost a lot more too obviously besides the initial added investment…but it’s your ride. Right. It is a lot better then a big fifth wheel. Better on gas, smaller to tow and you can see the bikes unlike when it is inside a trailer. I love it.

Yes we looked at those we decided that having to move the bike out to make a bed wasn’t going to work for us. This way we can get to a location, let’s say rainy and not move anything out just set up the camper and go to bed.

Geez Looeeze! Y'all put the freaking "V" in pivot! Not at all what i was expecting. But hey, i get it. Now get a fold up tommy lift to lift the bikes onto the bed. That's a lot safer. Don't forget. If you set up and high winds come, stakes in the ground and tie that puppy down. B safe out there.

I don't feel you are tapping out at all. It's all about comfort especially at our age. My husband pulls the camper and I pull the motorcycle or we stay in hotels and have great adventures on two wheels! I wish we could afford to do it fulltime. Maybe in a few years when we retire but we will pull the motorcycle and do it in a tent and stay in a hotel here and there when I need a break!

We really enjoy watching you in all of your adventures. Ruby was great. I had a blue popup and stayed at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground, I hate I wasn't there when you were. I pulled mine to Yellowstone. I loved it. The great part was I sold it and got all my money back. It was like staying for free for the time I used it. I love your new setup.
