See how my home city is, very dirty. Lack of local government presence. They can't even keep the city clean and do some urban renewal. This is crazy! Not even grass are done well. Sand all over the road. This is madness
This Owerri is beautiful, but what about the other now crumbling cities in the state? Owerri is a city that primitive actors usurped the development-inducing institutions in the state, located them in Owerri area; thereafter, development funds of Imo state got steadily diverted to urban development and expansion of Owerri. This made the state lose its once developing cities - Orlu and others in the state, no courtesy to 419 governors that Imo state has been bequeathed to most of the time since the state was created.
You are very correct Imo state is an unplanned slum. There's no development in imo state. Owerri is a glorified rural area littered with dilapidated roads and filthy environment. Onitsha, Enugu, Awka and Abakaliki are the best igbo cities. I feel ashamed as an imo indigene

Imo State is the filthiest State in Africa, a very dirty place for humans to live in. I shed tears watching anything about that State or it's capital. I understand that the people are very poor, but what about the government, can't they clean and beautify the streets of that State a little? Everywhere looks like where mad people stay, what's this kind of abandonment.
Ask the poster if he/she recognises that there are other cities in Imo state that are supposed to be developing and as beautiful as Owerri. He/she does not recognise that.
