And the Raven that glided over the roof! Then he made a reappearance behind his friend the fox, hopping about like "hey wait for me!". It's just way too much like a live-action fable, I can't take it!!!
Idk man kangaroos seem magical to me but apparently in Australia they're as common as deer are where I live! And when I was growing up more in the city center I didn't realize this city even had deer or hummingbirds or a bunch of other magical creatures I've seen since moving into the edge of the city.
Utterly enchanting. I have never seen a Home appear more otherworldly. It is as though it was made manifest from the pages of a children's fable...beautiful in every way. 🖤
I’m always so weirded out when people with unique houses say they were told their renovation style will lower the resale value. Sure, a blank canvas is a blank canvas, but so many people don’t like blank. I’d pay a good deal more for a terraced house that looks like yours, even if our styles don’t align 100%, than I would for something that lacks soul. And that’s on top of the obvious fact that a home should be exactly that, a home, and not just an investment.
I see your side and there probably is a small market of people like that but I think many who prefer this style prefer it bc they make it their own. Part of the enjoyment is the process of making it and seeing your place slowly evolve overtime. You can appreciate something even if you don’t make it yourself, but it can feel like a different type of appreciation when you transform a space like this. She has a story to tell about every thing she’s done, big and small. Moving in to a place finished you won’t know those stories or get to appreciate the reason the person did it. In the end it doesn’t matter as long as someone has a safe roof over their head. People can decorate any way they see fit so I hope I don’t offend anyone, that’s not what I was intending to do.
@Sara-xk1ns they can still do that though? there's just a base that is closer to their vision already. they can still change it over time and it's not like she'd just leave all her furniture and stuff.
@@Sara-xk1nsthey can do that with houses like this too. Better than paying a fortune on a basic house and then laying another fortune so it doesn’t look like a white room torture basement
You seem to be missing the meaning of a "blank canvas" phrase. It's literally that basically. It's meant to provide a basis for you to create your own, not live there lol
@@ang5798Studies show foxes don't kill cats unless the cat is literally deaf and blind. The risk of eye infection from a cat claw is too high. They do eat dead cats from the side of the road, which is how this myth was born. The other commenter is right, they are after the cat food. They won't fight the cat for it, but if they get an opportunity and cat isn't there...
Just stunning. She’s a fairytale princess in her fairytale cottage. I love it. Even the animals are attracted to her home. It feels safe, comfortable, cozy, and inviting. I’d never want to leave. It’s like a warm hug.
Beautiful! I heard someone once say that if you consider just resale value, you're merely renting from maybe possibly future buyers. And that stuck with me. If I'm ever lucky enough to own my own home, I'll make it mine. Your place is beautiful and lovely and I'm a wee jealous! ❤😊
@@mikemotorbike4283 But it's NOT the possible maybe one day potential future owner's home. It's YOURS. Stop renting from people who may or may not buy yiur house. Tear down walls. Build a secret room. Paint the bright colours. Do with YOUR house as YOU wish. It's time to stop thinking about possible one day maybe potential buyers and think about YOU and whether or not the house YOU bought brongs YOU joy and happiness and contentment.
@@mikemotorbike4283 It's probably a cultural difference, but saving it for the next buyer makes absolutely no sense. The way I was raised and experienced, once a house was bought by someone, often it got passed down for generations. And those personal additions and personalized styles became much more valuable after the first owner passed away and their kids inherited it. And even if they didn't pass it down, the buyer would live in it until they either pass away or moving to a facility for the end of their life. Either way, decades would've passed by that point and who knows what would happen to the house. Whether or not it would still be in a condition to be sold as it was or needs to be rebuild, whether or not the place is still a good residential area, and other concern. Chances are, the house would be torn apart anyways, either because the building's already unstable or because it was bought by realtor. So there's no "saving it for the next buyer".
The only thing that would really affect resale value is the painted features and her decor, which can easily be changed/removed before selling. The bookcase, attic, etc. are features that I’m sure everyone would appreciate.
@mikemotorbike4283 , what an arrogant, condescending remark. I worked hard for 50 years to own and decorate my home. I am not "borrowing" it. I bought it and renovated it with the money I made by giving up my best waking hours of my life so I could return home to my cozy sanctuary at the end of my day.
It’s so strange that realtors or whoever don’t consider that there’s value in the customizations. Even though it’s a niche market, there are many people who would probably pay WAY more to live in a magical cottage!
lol you are wrong,. The magic cottage is an air BB, not something you buy for yourself to live in unless youre delusional, like this broad. And in general if youre this delusional, you dont have money to spend on such things. Meaning their is a very small pool of buyers for stupid shit like this because most people grow up.
Also, when someone moves into a house they hardly ever like everything that is in the house and they almost always do some renovations after buying it, so the money for the renovations is already on the budget. I get fixing big problems, but leave the aesthetic unchanged so that the new buyer can decide what they want to do to their new home. Ah, and f*ck landlords, never sell your house to a landlord, only a person that actually wants to live in it!
My realtor has told me it's best for a house to look like a hotel room. It needs to be empty of personality so potential buyers can imagine themselves and their furniture and decor in it. So I think if she ever needs to raise money, she should put this little beauty on AirBNB for a while. She could earn some cash and then move right back in.
Thank you. SO MUCH. For not giving two popsicles about resale value or anything that just takes the life and charm out of our homes. I see so many people "remodel" centuries old houses by replacing them with cheap white paint and Amazon furniture and FOAM BEAMS, turning it into another cookie cutter "modern" house and sell it for a whopping 400k. Disgusting. You bring life and charm to your home and even a whole fairy forest all in the city, and just put so much personality into every detail. Thank you for showing others the home that it truly is.
Yes. Tell that to the grey flooring, walls, and furniture designers of the world. We had a flip go on the market in our neighborhood, everything in it is grey. It is not selling either. They took a mid century ranch fro the 60's and made it boring.
I was raised by a sad beige mom, when we sold the house she was awful. Living was not allowed. You slept, showered, dried the shower, and left before anyone even might come to view the house. It’s a joyless existence to care solely about value to others (in houses and in humans too).
I would buy this kind of home in a heartbeat. Idk who’s talking about resale value when all of these things make the home 10x more valuable in my eyes!!
@@sharonrimsza7960 The more austere minimalists for sure would never buy that home. But the only real definition of minimalist design is that everything is with intention, and everything has a place, which this home seems to be. As someone who is a non-austere minimalist, this home definitely is designed with intention, there is no clutter, and is minimalist.
Bueno...convengamos que le quedó precioso porque ella tiene buen gusto...yo podría poner todo lo que quisiera y el resultado no sería así de bonito😢. Por otro lado donde vivo no hay zorros...ni ese toque encantador podría darle😊
@@PaigeBartholomew- I think the Kate Bush rediscovery triggered something in the young people. And there was also the 'How we danced in the 80's' trend. I've just seen people reacting to Ultravox and Visage as well as Kate! I'm quite taken back, to be honest. I never expected to see the songs of my youth again.
OMG, The music you chose is PERFECT!!!! I love your little enchanted cottage! It’s beautiful!!! You really manifested a dream life with your home, your Fox and Basset Hound and your kitties. Especially your sweet husband! It’s a pleasure to watch your channel and see how far you’ve come! I’m so happy for you! Stay strong, Beautiful! Life is such a gift! You’re doing a wonderful job of making the most of it!!! I❤
Do not be intimidated by the length of this message. PLEASE READ! I'm gonna be bold right now. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. You will NEVER be satisfied without him. I bring this news to you with much joy and love in my heart! If you don't know this, it is my joy to tell you; You and I have all fallen short of God's glory. We have all gone against the living God. We have sinned against him. The Bible says, "for the wages of sin is death." So, if God was to judge us for our sins, we would receive the punishment for our sin; death. BUT, Jesus gave his life for me and you on the cross. He was sinless. Fully God and fully man. Only the blood of Jesus can reconcile you with God, our father. THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS! Jesus lived a life you and I couldn't, a life of perfection! And when we put our faith in Him we will be saved! The Bible says " if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED!" AMEN! That, my friends, is the ONLY way to heaven! Pray that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would encounter you with his presence and with his love. If you genuinely seek out Jesus you WILL find him. That is a promise. And don't think you have to be perfect or get your life together before you come to Jesus. No! He saves you from your broken heart. He heals! He is the one who transforms your life! I am overjoyed by this! You may think there is an old conservative man behind this screen typing this long message. You may think this is outdated news. Neither of those would be true! I am a 16 year old girl who is in love with the person of Jesus. He saved me from depression and anxiety. He restored my peace and brought me great joy. My friends, I am just like all of you, only, I have accepted the free gift of salvation. I didn't come to Jesus looking for religion. He sought me out and gave me perfect love! Jesus wants to have an intimate, personal relationship with YOU. Whoever is reading this, I thank you. Let this news transform your life. If you are looking for the truth, look at Jesus Christ. Open that Bible! Cry out to God in prayer! He hears every word. He LOVES YOU! Shalom (perfect peace) to you from Jesus Christ!
I can’t believe people care about resale value to the point of not making their house their home. Make your home your home! It’s your safe haven, it’s your comfort. It has to reflect your soul.
I would pay more for the changes you have made!! My heart melts and is filled with happiness seeing these places in your home. You have added the things that are valuable to me as well! 💓
If I ever saw a house like this on sale and got the chance I would buy it and never change a thing. Everything about this is so perfect and more than a modern home could truly provide in terms of peace. Congrats to you and your little paradise! 💜
Even if I didn’t love the style of a customized home like that (which I do), I would still value it over a white-walled blank slate because it portrays the house as already having character, and would spark ideas in me for what I could do now to add my own style.
@@odalhawthornealso unfortunately lots of farmers hunt foxes even though it’s illegal which leads rural ones to be more flighty around people (assuming this is uk we’re talking about)
But are there any studies on their life expectancy in the city? In Brazil we have a special kind of wolf (Lobo Guará) that eats animals, but also fruits helping the reforestation process (their poop carry the seeds), but they have been spotted in small cities and coffee plantations. Recent studies have shown that they live less and get sick easier and sometimes seek humans for help (which is unnatural and very dangerous, depending on the greedy farmer they might encounter). Their presence in these farms also show that their habitats have become inhospitable due to the advance of destruction of the forest.
What a paradise on earth! Seeing this made me so emotional (great choice of music btw too!) Your example is encouraging me to take bigger steps towards living my own dream. THANK YOU!!! 💖
Resale nothing. If I walked into a house like that, I would buy it instantly, no questions asked, no hesitation. You are literally living in the house of my dreams
So original . In all my time on this social media platform, this just might be the most unique house I’ve seen. I bet if you were to have kids, they would love their bedrooms bcuz you designed them.
I will never, ever understand how taking the character out of a house makes it *more* valuable. Like, if I had house money, I would legitimately be looking for one like yours, and I would be willing to pay top dollar.
This is so sweet! I love to see personal touches in peoples homes. It’s what makes you You. It’s where you can go each day and be enveloped by your favorite things. How sad that we have subscribed to matching Instagram homes that are exact clones of each other.
It's always heartbreaking to see a home "updated" without considering the original character of the home. Your home is super cute and any home should always reflect your tastes.
OHH THE WAY YOU ARE LIVING MY DREAM!! i feel like this house is straight out of a studio ghibli movie i need to live there! and the rooftop fox i LOVEE ♥️♥️
I grew up in homes that were intentionally built/decorated to be sold. we moved every 2-3 years. Our homes were SPOTLESS, beautiful and perfect. no messes, posters or personalization was allowed. a home like this is my childhood dream come true - so gorgeous, cozy and homey.
It shows how much peace of mind comes from not being concered about money - most people buying a house is a massive investment and they'd need to fall back on having something with resale value
Trust me, those tiktok renovators will paint over those beautiful stained glass, mow over the garden, and make the dog den into an ugly storage unit, for sake to make it look more 'modern'
