Today’s going to be a little bit of garden ASMR. It’s a windy, overcast day, and I’m going to collect some lettuce and carrots from the garden. #fall2023 #growyourown #lettuce #growsomething #letsgo
Nice lettuce! I would love to get to a point where I have my own seeds for most things, and I don't have to buy anymore. I'll still probably buy things for fun, but it would be nice to have staple vegetables like lettuce that are my own. It's very cool. Your carrots are beautiful, I hope I get some nice ones in a few months. I love the taste of fresh carrots, what a delicious lunch! 🤤😋
Bernie I would like to save seeds from lettuce. I didn’t know that was a thing. Do you have a video showing this if not I would love to see one in the future. I love how healthy your fall crops look. Can you also share your hoops in the raised beds and how you use them. I have a lot to learn when it comes to vegetables and you make it look simple. Thanks for sharing your harvest and those carrots. OMG!!!
Thanks for watching Renee. I don’t have a video specifically dedicated to my harvesting seeds from the lettuce. I will make time to do one in the spring when they go to seed. I’m trying to do better with providing videos that are more detailed as to what I’m doing or have done in the garden.
Hey Bernie, new subscriber here. I’m in zone 9a. I have an entire 6x3 bed of red and green romaine, it is just beautiful! But, I noticed aphids on one of the romaine plants in the bed. I wanted to cry. I pulled the plant completely and I haven’t seen anymore. Have you had to deal with aphids at all, if so how do you manage them? Thanks again. Also, I’m thinning carrots and beets today. 👩🏽🌾🥬🥕
Thanks for the sub! I can't stand Aphids and no I haven't had to deal with any so far. I would have removed the plant also! Enjoy your carrots and beets. Thanks for watching Sherrell
