I would've preferred a Ken version of David Bowe. I also got the red head holiday doll and I gave in and purchased the vanity. Waiting for it to arrive. I've NEVER like the Millie face, so I'm sad about that.

Yeah, it’s absolutely weird…but I have an Elton John barbie doll which has a woman body, too, but it looks pretty cool! But the Bowie doll…it’s kinda weird. BUT its not bad at all, I’m starting to like it as I’m watching it. Lol

I really like the Leila/Layla face, and the price!! I also like the David Bowie inspired doll and the Christmas Doll. I like how some of the Barbie packs and accessories look. But I really love how you make even more cool - beautiful furniture, sets, and clothes.

Apparently, it's a relatively new sculpt (I've seen collectors calling it the "Odille" sculpt). She's one of only a few dolls that have been made with this face so far!

As always, Toya, your in-depth box openings and doll critiques are so very appreciated. I think the Holiday Barbie and the Barbie in Style set are my favorites but, only because I couldn't get into the Monster High dolls. I love the concept of them but, I just can't afford to start collecting them. Could only do one or the other and I had already started a little collection of Barbie dolls over the years. 🤟🐸

i have to say that i'm a bit annoyed that the Bowie doll had to be fem. mattel has shown they can do half decent male and androgynous forms. so it just strikes me as being lazy. they did that with their IT doll as well. i do like the holiday doll you got though. very cute. reminds me of the in-between dolls that weren't trying so hard to either be the sharp featured originals or the trying-too-hard-to-be-young ones they tend to put out now. okay, i've also got to say this... i wish they weren't so age-ist. i'm glad they're diversifying more but i would like to see some dolls that show a mature looking face and hair. for crying in the mud, babs is well over fifty! let her age!

I love that little comic book! The Holiday Barbie is so pretty. I'm seeing her everywhere and I'm so tempted to get her lol I also love Layla and that adorable dachshund! Her clothes and accessories are also super cute... I better grab her! I love the fashion pack too - I bought two of them because I needed to paint a pair of boots like that but in black, so I had to paint them lol I've been thinking about the vanity but that is a big price tag, and I don't know where I'd put the vanity considering Mini Me and I don't do makeup. And I can print out whatever background scene I want on my printer. Must resist lol!

Late response...sorry. I love this particular Holiday Barbie face especially on the MTM body. IMO, in regards to DB doll, if you're going to make a male doll, even if inspired by one, just make the male doll. Love the light blue suit, not a fan of the doll's face and hair. Will have to search for the Layla doll, kind of like her. That fashion pack is cool! Would have paired the dress and hat with the brown cowboy boots from a previous fashion pack. The Monster High doll is fabulous. The art work on the box alone is really nice! Now I love all the Barbie Style dolls and their accessories, just can't afford to do all. I like that vanity set and the accessories. And I agree with you Toya, they should have sold doll and vanity set separately. Thanks for the review! You're the best! ❤🥰❤

For Barbie styles they don't have very good fashion. Barbie used to have the most beautiful fashion. It was why I fell in love with Barbie as a kid. Now Barbie has toned down and I don't think it gives me a bang for my buck. Of course this is just my opinion. I hope Rainbow High stays around for a long time. They are my new love of the Doll world. Oh and David Bowie is definitely my favorite guy . I loved him ever since "the labyrinth" movie...
