I honestly couldn’t relate to this anymore if I tried . I’m 39 and cancer treatment forced me into early menopause ☹️ Every single thing you have said is exactly what I struggle with daily ! Thank you for sharing your experience it’s a breath of fresh air knowing I’m not alone . ❤️

Thanks for being so open. I became menopausal 6 years ago but my doctor actually told me he wouldn’t recommend HRT. since then I’ve been on antidepressants twice and have so many of the other symptoms. After seeing the Davina documentary I went back to the doctor and am now on HRT. It has made a massive difference to me. Now I’m talking to anyone who will listen about it.

My symptoms were the same as yours except that I had stopped smoking, my dogs died within 3 months of each other and I started the menopause. I went on HRT and had a complete personality change until I came off them. I would never advise anyone to take HRT. The weight gain, the hair loss, the brittle nails and the brain fog i can relate to. Also forgetting words and names. I am 69 now and feel much better now but I am trying to lose the weight. Hope you feel better soon Andrea. It does get better. ❤️❤️

I went into early menopause at the age of 37yrs I went to the doctors as it runs in my family he laughed at me, I got really angry and asked if there was anything I could have to see if I was right he sent me for a blood test, it came back to prove me right he sent me to the hospital they put me on HRT I put on weight I went from 8 st I shot up to 11st in a month when I went back to the hospital he just said that is what happens when you get older, they never offered me a different tablet I walked out the hospital in tears and now I'm 58ys I don't take nothing I feel very depressed I'v had so many of the symptoms you said thank you so much to talk about this as I felt so alone. I totally relate to you. I've been having most of the same symptoms as you, as of yet though, no mood swings!!! I turned 53 last November, (I had a partial hysterotomy when I was 33, still have ovaries) and ever since I've had the hot flushes, sweats, especially at night, hardly any sleep and the bloating and weight gain!!! I'm taking a natural supplement and it has helped quiet a bit. Hoping it doesn't last too long, as I've heard of some going through it for up to 10 years. Lovely to hear you talking about it, keep up theses great conversations!!!

Totally relate to this, I’m 49 and peri menopausal, tried the patches but made me have gall bladder pain so stopped them. I find GPS don’t know enough. I also get abit fed up with celebrity’s that bang on about the hrt they are on that’s not offered on the NHS like Davina for example. Everything on your list Andrea is on my list! So glad you have a good GP that sorted it for you. I’m managing atm but might go back as I’ve now changed my GP. Thank you for talking about though xx

All of the above and more. I've had my womb and ovaries removed because of colen cancer. A tumor had attached itself to my womb wall and when all was removed I went into full blown menopauze. One of the symptons that really got me down, I have always had beautiful skin and now I have to moisturize my skin 3 times a day. I've had to find a new moisturizer because the one I've used since I was young was'nt working anymore. Yr skin dries up. So not funny. I also understand what you mean about not associating symptoms with the menopauze. Like the headaches, like OMG yr right, 3 to 4 days of a headache that will not go away. Yr drinking loads of water, taking tablets and nothing is helping. So glad u did this topic and I'm not the only one. When I thought of menopauze the only thing I heard was that u got hot flushes. Not about the rest. No one told me that yr body gives up on u. Just flushes and no more periods. I thought yeah I can deal with that. Haha! Biggest joke in the world. I got help from my gyno but can only take a lower level of hormones because I had a stroke in 2012 and I have diabetis. Everything I've had medically is working against me. But I'm alive, cancer free at the moment, and I'm going to keep smiling because I bloody can. Btw I absolutely love yr necklace with the word smile. Perfect word. Thanks a mill that I got to rant a bit and now I can keep smiling, its out of my system😂😂😂 And don't feel sorry for me cos I'm one of the lucky ones who beat cancer😁 I have always stuck with this... When your down always look for the silver lining. Trust me when I say there is always a silver lining. Its just sometimes harder to find then u think but its there. Love you girls so much xxx And thank you so so much for doing this. It has helped so much. Glad you went to the doctor Andrea and McKenna xxx

Thank you SO MUCH for talking about this ladies. I'm 45 and started with night sweats about a year ago and now lots more symptoms have shown up! I've had some very low feelings for over a year which I thought were related to the pandemic but looking back now I think were actually menopause related too. I've been trying to manage it by taking lots of vitamins plus mindfulness etc. I've been thinking of booking a visit to my GP to ask for HRT and I'm definitely going to do it now! Xx

Hi girls, I think this video will help many women understand their symptoms so well said Andrea. I had my first hot flush in Safeway I was peri menopausal and thought I was going to faint, I had to go to the frozen section and open the door and stick my head in. Unfortunately I cannot take HRT as I had breast cancer a few years ago. I wish I could go on HRT, because like you Andrea the bed covers are off and on every five minutes so my sleep is disturbed and I don't feel like me at all, Memory blinking heck I forget what I am saying halfway through a conversation. My friend and I have conversations like "you know what's her name in Emmerdale, the one with the thingy" and I know who she means and I am the same with her like one day I said "what are those round things with holes, she said polo mints, no, doughnuts, no, bagel, no, onion ring, no, then I remember Pineapple rings, that's what I couldn't remember. It's part of life but wouldn't it be great if our period just stopped and we had no other symptoms.

Thanks for the video, Andrea and McKenna.I started with perimenopause at 45 when I experienced my first hot flush. I am now 51 and have been postmenopausal for 2 years. My symptoms are very similar to yours and include terrible brain fog, making it difficult to have a conversation, which leads to feeling embarrassed. I am just finishing an MSc degree which has been very difficult due to my inability to concentrate because of the brain fog. I am so angry and impatient with the world at the moment. I also suffer from insomnia. When I wake up, I get a feeling of panic and doom that seems to come from nowhere. I cannot take HRT as my doctor has advised against it because of a family history of breast cancer. You never hear women who have gone through menopause saying how much better they feel now that symptoms have passed, and so at the moment, I wonder when the big black cloud will lift. xxx

Girls, this video was just brilliant. Andrea, I have all the symptoms on your list ha ha !. The one that on one has ever mentioned but you did was 'the dry mouth' .I have that. I drink tons of water and always have to have a loo nearby !. Have even dreamed about drinking water as I am always thirsty. My periods dwindled around 39 ish. Night sweats, then day heats, just as you mentioned, sore joints. I suffered with migraines for years and then they stopped. Now I just get the flashing lights but no pain ?? odd. I asked for HRT years ago many times but was refused because their is Breast Cancer in 4 members of my family including my twin sis. I wasnt allowed it. Im 64 now. Symptoms have gone down a bit now but Im still left with the heats, panic , anxiety and joint pains, tiredness and the dry mouth !! I wish I could get it. Thanks again you 2 gorgeous gals xx

Thank you so much for taking about the menopause and HRT as I can remember back in the day when my late mum had it but back then in the 90’# there was no support and medication for it and she was told time and time again it was to do with stress so when I started feeling really low mood and crying a lot not wanting to do anything I thought to myself oh it’s got to be stress if it was not for my best friend to pushing me to call my gp I would of not found out in fact I have anxiety and depression and also found out I have type 2 diabetes as I used to be so thirsty it’s always best to getting yourself seen by your doctor as there is a great more support and help out there for you. Also it’s great to know that your not alone as others are just going though this at some point in their life.

Hi girls! Thanks so much for sharing such an important topic. 👍. I’m nearly 45 and have been experiencing all those symptoms since around 42, gradually though, not all at once! I get night sweats pretty much all the time, have experienced the brain fog, low moods for no reason etc. I’ve been up and down and didn’t want to go onto HRT too early but I now have really aching legs which is getting me down a bit at night so I’m thinking of talking to the doctor soon. Glad to know we’re not all going crazy! The worst thing is forgetting names and at work I’ll go to the computer to do something and forget what I went to do in the first place! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thanks for a great video.
